The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse

Chapter 849 - 849: Battle On The Moon (1)

Klaus had seen a lot of things in the thousands of years he had lived, and even in the few years he had spent in his current life, but watching the warriors of Earth play rock, paper, scissors to decide who gets to take on the seven Void stage beasts wasn’t something he expected to see in this life.

Just a few months ago, only two Void stage warriors could be identified on Earth; however, in just a few months, they now had over two dozen Void stage beings, and they were playing a silly game to decide who would fight the Void stage beasts.

Since five Tier 11 Lunar Beasts had chosen to surrender, the remaining seven now had complete control to command a rather large army.

Klaus didn’t know if the beasts could identify danger when they saw it, but watching the many Void stage humans before them, they still wanted to fight.

Now, the humans were deciding who would fight whom. Of course, Queenie and Lunara weren’t part of the silly game, simply because they were still regarded as the leaders of Earth.

This meant the five remaining beasts were being shared among the dozens of Tier 11 human warriors.

‘Is this what it feels like to have the odds on your side?’ Klaus couldn’t help asking himself.

[This is all your doing, brat. You truly have what it takes to create the strongest army in the universe.] The senior said with a happy chuckle. Klaus indeed has what it takes to create the strongest army in existence.

On the battlefield, Danny and his friends were killing as if the beasts were bugs. They weren’t even putting in much effort, even against the Peak Tier 10s.

Every swing of Danny’s axe was a killing blow.

Meanwhile, Daniel was hammering the beasts like they were nails. He wasn’t using his enhancement skills, so his 6’5″ height was what he was relying on.

But even so, despite having the height of an ant compared to the huge beasts they were fighting, none of them seemed to despair. Instead, they were having the time of their lives.

Miguel and Vida, the other two brutes in the team, were also showing their newfound strength. None of them were using their skills. It was pure strength, and the result spoke for itself: they were more monstrous than even the beasts.

Klaus focused more of his attention on his wives.

Lucy and her sister Anna stood in one place, but the carnage they were creating was already enough to show their strength. None of them held any weapon, not that they needed one.

The vines piercing the bodies of the beasts were metallic in shape and feel. They were much more deadly than the previous vines during her tribulation.

‘That is her Ironblood Annihilation skill… If and when she starts comprehending the Metal law, not even immortals can stand against her vines.’ A smile appeared on Klaus’s lips.

In his past life as Fruity, this was one of Lucy’s many skills. But she liked this one. The reason was that while she was easily piercing the body of the beast, something else was happening.

Every time she pierced the body of a beast, her vine stole their essence blood, which was absorbed into the vine and strengthened it. The best part was that this strengthening was permanent, so the more she used it, the stronger it became.

‘I quite remember those idiots from the frozen continent… I wonder if they reincarnate, if they’ll be that stupid again,’ Klaus smiled, looking at Lucy, the reincarnation of the Vine Queen.

The metal law he had spoken of in the past made the Ironblood Vines even deadlier. She had used it to devour the essence blood of 20,000 warriors sent from the Frozen Continent to kill Anna.

Fruity had been in seclusion at that time, and while Mason’s incarnation could have helped, the Queen of Vine wanted to face them alone, and the result was that she devoured them completely.

And that was just the Ironblood Vine. She hadn’t even used her Devouring Princess Flowers.

As for Anna, she was turning the beasts into ice statues as if it were the easiest thing to do. Klaus could only smile watching this.

Eren, who was rather unruly, stood beside Klaus, smiling as well. “They are much more powerful than people at their level.”

“True. But that is good. With their strength, my homeworld will be safe from all forms of danger in the future.” Klaus was more than happy to see where their strength would go next.

“You are right, master. They are indeed enough to do that… However, I would ask if my master wouldn’t mind me training those three ladies.”

Eren pointed at Nia, Luna, and Nuna.

Nia wasn’t using her shadows yet, but even without them, she was killing the monsters faster than her hands were moving.

The reason was simple. After she went unconscious from creating the Nested Time Loop, her mind underwent an upgrade, and she woke up with an ability she hadn’t shared with anyone yet.

However, Eren has a unique assassin class called Voidshade Executioner. It was an ascended Assassin class that allowed her some control over reality.

Though she hadn’t mastered the law of reality to even 5% yet, her class allowed her to see what Nia was doing, and that caught her interest.

The Nia everyone was seeing was the future version of herself, who came back 3 seconds to become the present version.

It is all very complicated, but Nia now has the ability to see 3 seconds into the future and move three seconds from the future to the present.

…well, it was more like she could move three seconds into the future.

However, that also meant she could move three seconds backward to the present from the future, and then three seconds backward to the past or three seconds from the past to the present, which effectively meant moving from the present to the future.

It is all very complicated. However, Nia could correct the past three seconds, both in and out of time, and could do the same for the future.

So she was moving between times, making her 3 seconds ahead of her target. This allowed her to kill three times faster than she should.

Of course, there was a limit to how long she could use this skill. But it had already helped her kill 120 beasts, so there was no telling how much longer she could hold on.
