A furious back and forth of attack and parry returned as the two forces of Adaptive Evolution clashed against each other with an extraordinarily furious exchange of attacks and exchange of Water.
With the Metabody System and the Forge of Creation, by altering his body and techniques while the Prophecy of the Void allowed him to adaptively evolve his timing and placement. He could do more than just that. With the Prophecy of the Void, he could behold the entire battle yet to unfold and even beyond. However, the future of the battle was still contingent on his actions, of which there were an essentially infinite avenue of choices.
With an endless availability of choices at his disposal, the future was no longer determined.
He could choose which future he wanted unfolding.
The only constraint was his own physical combat power.

With each attack, he grew stronger and stronger as the abyssfeeder tried and failed to throw him off track with not just the Topaz of Time.
And yet, he foresaw all of it. The Forge of Creation bloomed almost pre-emptively, allowing him to halt any and all attempts at adaptively evolving to him with a myriad of substances.
Its body turned red as it unleashed an intense wave of deadly radiation that washed over Rui.
And yet, he had already deployed an extraordinarily powerful Faraday Cage to protect him from the ensuing radiation. The abyssfeeder immediately shifted tracks as its body shifted to encompass a powerful esoteric of tremendous heat, achieving temperatures so high that the very fabric of materia began melting away into its most fundamental constituents.

A tremendous wave of heat surged from the abyssfeeder as it sought to incinerate Rui away.
But alas, it underestimated him.
“Niflheim.”
WHOOOOOSH!!!!!
A blizzard emerged from him, absorbing much of the heat that the abyssfeeder unleashed, mitigating its most lethal edge. He didn’t need to disperse the entirety of all the heat that the abyssfeeder unleashed; he just needed to whittle it down to a tolerable level where his body would be able to withstand it.
His capacity to heal with a combination of Weaving Blood, his significantly evolved blood, the Blood of Solaris, and his Martial Soul allowed him to deal with the remaining heat with great vigor. The abyssfeeder could clearly detect this, causing it to shift its very existence once again in the blink of an eye as its entire body shifted to a sky-blue hue, as it unleashed an astronomically intense blast of wind with such tremendous pressure that it threatened to blow Rui away.
Despite that, it was in vain.
He had already adaptively evolved to it in the past.
“Earthen Decapitator.”
In the blink of an eye, a tremendous surge of rock and earth emerged from the ground before him with the Scriptures of Terra, allowing him to dissect the powerful wind currents with powerful earth-bending, freeing his charges without any resistance.
The abyssfeeder adaptively evolved its existence yet again, unleashing yet another radically extreme attack of all kinds.
And yet, Rui adaptively evolved to it the very moment it emerged.
The abyssfeeder’s raw capacity to change may very well have been greater than Rui’s. Even with the Metabody, the Forge of Creation, the Tree of Life, the Hypnomatrix, and Yggdrasil System, he was probably still a notch or two below that of the abyssfeeder, but he was still able to edge out the slightest advantage due to his foresight and his adaptive evolution commencing preemptively while the abyssfeeder only adaptively evolved after the fact.

The sheer intensity of the battle escalated as the ever-increasing collisions between Rui and the abyssfeeder continued increasing with each passing moment, as Rui’s eyes remained fixed on the goal.
He didn’t attempt any other form of offense.
He didn’t rely on any other path to killing the abyssfeeder.
He had one and only one path to victory.

His eyes flared with intensity as the blood-red glow in the depths of his eyes heightened in their brightness ever so little with each passing moment.
His body grew strained with each passing moment as it experienced greater and greater energy flux, as he absorbed the abyssfeeder’s power with Body of Water and Anti-Spiral, growing even stronger with each passing second.
His attacks grew more and more intense.
Their collisions grew more and more intense with each passing second.
RUMBLE!!!!!!!
The very fabric of space and time bent underneath sheer intensity of astronomically powerful collisions with each passing moment. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!
The very fabric of space collapsed for just the briefest of moments with the sheer energy concentrated at the moment of impact.
Each attack was more powerful than the next.
Powerful enough to annihilate even Martial Sages.
And yet, not even this was enough for him to reach the abyssfeeder.
It parried, and parried, and parried.
Although it failed to kill him, it had not failed in defending against each and every single one of his attacks. Never before had the abyssfeeder faced off against an opponent that could match it when it came to Adaptive Evolution.
If it wanted to defeat Rui, it would have to go absolutely all out without holding back even the slightest iota of its power.
VMMMMM!!!!
The world shook as the abyssfeeder changed its existence one last time.
What followed shook everyone.
It manifested every single Transcendent esoteric.
Its body shook with effort as it summoned all of them.
All at once.
The Topaz of Time, the Blood of Solaris, the esoterics of the Fruit of Healings, and even the white Transcendent crystal that created the manifold. RUMBLE!!!!!!!
The world shook as it began to harness the power of all these substances.
A level of power that could potentially approach the Transcendent Realm.
Martial Sages froze with horror as they felt an extraordinarily perilous aura of power emerging from the abyssfeeder.
In that moment, it became a threat to all of them. To all of human civilization.
Just as Rui has foreseen.
A single whisper escaped him moments before the abyssfeeder could fully harness such extraordinary Transcendent power.
