The Martial Unity

Chapter 3069: The Six Continents

Chapter 3069: The Six Continents

Verbalizing the name of their enemy changed the very psychology of how they thought of their crisis.

With a name tagged to at least one of the threats they faced, there was less to fear, psychologically.

It was less in the territory of the unknown and got closer and closer to the realm of what was known. That didn’t change the risk or the danger in any material sense, but it did reduce the uncertainty and lack of confidence that had come with the absence of knowledge.

However, the interrogation didn’t stop there.

They went on to discover the names of all six continents as well as the names of various waters and oceans across the true world in one fell swoop.

To the right of Acherialis was Sirinwel, the eastern of the two northern continents. From what little they were able to make out of from the mico-reactions and the non-verbal communication signatures of the foreign entity, it didn’t think very highly of the continent.

They detected the faintest hints of contempt from it when they focused on it to evoke its impressions of the continent.

It was good news for them that the entity thought so poorly of its immediate neighbor.

Further to the right of Sirinwel was the continent of Samarkha that was far to the east of the Panama Continent. The entity reacted with just the mildest hint of what they had interpreted as grudging respect, which was mixed signals, suggesting that while they weren’t enemies, it was unlikely that there was a great alliance between the two civilizations of the continent.

The entirety of the south was covered by the vast and expansive Genora Continent, who was so utter enormous that it dwarfed the Panama Continent by factor of several times. The sheer area that the continent covered beggared the imagination.

They evoked yet another negative reaction from the foreign entity.

Who knew what kind of civilizations covered the entirety of the region?

To the west of the Panama Continent was the Continent of Moridia that, in contrast to massive super-continents like Genora, was not nearly that greatly larger than the Panama Continent.

The same could be said for the continent to Panama’s Northwest, the continent of Kiriket.

Neither of the two continents inspired much of a positive reaction from the entity.

This was good to a certain extent because it increased the probability that their enemy was perhaps not the best-connected in the geopolitical landscape of the true world.

The six continents, Acherialis, Sirinwel, Samarkha, Genora, Moridia, and Kiriket, formed the bulk of the true world’s landmass, while countless islands checkered and revolved about and in between the mighty continents that towered over the Panama Continent.

Further investigations with satellite surveillance revealed a technological signature from all six continents. There were potent and unnatural heat signatures that, on the planet at least, only occurred in extraordinarily powerful energy plants that generated vast amounts of energy to power great technology.

There was great radiation as well, far beyond what was the norm in the absence of widespread industry and technological integration with civilization, confirming the already certain notion of their advanced technology.

What was especially chilling was the fact that the six continents, prior to the Unfolding would have undoubtedly revolved around each other, making trade through the waters in between the continents extremely dense.

But with the Panama Continent’s appearance, that trade had undoubtedly been disrupted as all trade routes would most likely intersect with the Panama Continent in some way or another, this made the Panama Continent a simple target for all seafaring.

They predicted that it wouldn’t be long for human civilization to be bombarded with a maelstrom of influx. It was also somewhat likely that not each and every single entity attempting to make contact with the Kandrian Empire was a threat to human civilization.

Surely, as many hostile entities as there were in the true world, there ought to have been entities that were more pacifist and open to trade.

It was important for human civilization to ensure that they didn’t antagonize true world parties and entities that were interested in friendships, alliances, or even simply mutually beneficial entities.

If there was any chance they had of emerging from the impending conflicts that were sure to arise, it was undoubtedly not by alienating all friendly entities.

If the Panama Continent positioned itself as a universally hostile entity with no interests in trading, then the true world would have much stronger incentives to invade and colonize Panama. Greed for the treasures that awaited them upon this continent would make it so that they would take it by force if not given the opportunity to trade.

The Emperor of Harmony who much preferred harmony for being a win-win foreign policy was particularly keen on ensuring that the Panama Continent entered into a harmonious relationship with the rest of the world.

However, human civilization was diverse and scrambled.

Not all nations were open to trade.

And it was not just like possible but also likely that many coastal nations and the island belts surrounding the Panama Continent would antagonize incoming friendlies out of excessive fear or hostility, which could disrupt potential friendly relationships by poisoning the well.

There needed to be oversight.

There needed to be unity and uniformity in their response.

That was why the Emperor of Harmony didn’t delay the unification of human civilization.

He accelerated the collectivization of intelligence, transit, and Martial power as nations around the world rapidly signed and ratified the three international agreements that would centralize and collectivize a lot of important institutions.

True World Intelligence Organization.

The Economic Corridor Network Initiative.

The Martial Insurance Pact.

The twelve Sage-level powerhouses, along with all Sage-level nations, and soon all polities around the world signed and ratified these three agreements to strengthen human civilization.

And yet, that wasn’t all.

The Emperor of Harmony went even further.

In order to ensure that the Panama Continent had a unified and uniform response to the various true world parties that were bound to converge upon the Panama Continent, he went even further.

He sought to unify human civilization under a single banner.

And he succeeded.
