The air in the strategic command center in the Kandrian Empire was dire.
The atmosphere was ashen with reckoning.
Reckoning of the outcomes of the battles.
The three successful defenses of the Panama Continent were not enough to compensate for the doom they experienced in the battle with the Martial Sages of human civilization.
The Emperor of Harmony gritted his teeth as his expression crumbled with grave severity as he gazed at the satellite and radar feeds on his screen of West Panama.
His golden eyes sharpened as he gazed at the rough images of a rapidly forming formation and structure on the coast of West Panama.
It was a colony.
A colony of the evolutionaries.
The invaders that came from the Moridia Continent had been identified by showing their images to Plasmanator, the name of the captured tekvore.
What they had learned about the evolutionaries from the captured tekvore was chilling.
“Beings who follow the Path of Adaptive Evolution.”
It was an entire species of fellows who followed the same path that their strongest and most revolutionary Martial Artist did.
Words couldn’t even begin to describe the sheer horror of this revelation.
The reports that Sage Sayfeel had given to the Emperor of Harmony about the sheer strength of this entity sent chills down Emperor Rael’s spine. And there he was, limited to simply watching helplessly as the evolutionaries expedited the creation of a colony on the coast of West Panama.
Out of all the invasions thus far, the evolutionaries had gone all out from the very beginning.
The sheer power that they demonstrated far exceeded anything deployed by the other invaders.
And yet, intelligence from both the tekvore and the dark elves of West Genora, who proved to be surprisingly cooperative, indicated that the Evolutionary Army of the Moridia wasn’t the strongest.
Just the most aggressive in its imperialism.
Not even the tekvores were a match for it.
While the tekvores were much more divided and individualistic, the Evolutionary Army of the Moridia Continent was just that.
An army with a strict hierarchy of power, with absolute top-down authority to its leader.
They were clearly well-versed in the art of colonization and imperialism, for they immediately consolidated the gains they made, commencing the establishment of a powerful military base protected by immense siege weapons while establishing logistical infrastructure for storage, transport, and mobilization.
They also immediately established supply chains of ships and aircrafts that moved back and forth between the Panama Continent and the Moridia Continent.
All within half an hour of victory.
The Emperor of Harmony’s expression crumpled with displeasure as he couldn’t help but acknowledge the sheer efficiency of their imperialistic ventures.
Everything about their technology appeared to be in favor of the goal of expanding and consolidating territorial gain.
Hyper-portable fencing, hyper-portable siege weapons, hyper-portable housing units, and hyper-portable infrastructure for transport and communication. The Evolutionary Army was a hyper-portable civilization that appeared to have mastered the art of setting up a base on a foreign land.
Within half an hour, the difficulty of kicking them out of the Panama Continent had risen by a factor of two or three. The more time they were allowed to spend without any resistance, the exponentially the difficulty would rise.
It was excruciatingly painful for the Emperor of Harmony to watch this process unfold helplessly, unable to do anything.
And what could he even do?
He had only fifteen Martial Sages left on standby.
The other few hundred were exhausted and had been transferred to the manifold upon return to deal with the consequences of the Master and Sage Realms. The Panama Continent had exhausted all of its Martial Sage resources.
Thankfully, with the manifold, he only needed to wait forty-five or so minutes before all of them were entirely recuperated.
“Once they’re back…” his tone was chillingly intense. “I will destroy every inch of their presence from this continent.”
With the power of three hundred Martial Sages and the ambush advantage that the World Bridge would give them, they had the sheer firepower needed to destroy the evolutionary base and send them back from where they came, especially with the other four invasion attempts repelled by the Martial Sages.
The intelligence that they had slowly been getting from the cooperative dark elves was also quite useful and had proven to be true. The Emperor of Harmony had even granted the dark elves a lease for setting a small base with a limited number of dark elves in a limited area, as they tried to figure out how to set up communication networks with the dark elves, since the two civilizations operated on very different communication technologies.
With the intelligence that they got from the dark elves, along with the World Bridge, and a Transcendent Candidate or two leading the most powerful Martial Sages, Masters, and Seniors into the base, it should be enough to destroy it to its very core.
Unfortunately, the troubles of the Panama Continent were only just getting started.
BZZZT BZZZT BZZZT!
His commpad began ringing with notifications as alarm sirens began ringing in the strategic command center.
“Your Majesty!” one official cried to him with a horrified expression. “We have detected sixty-four separate convoys converging upon the Panama Continent in all directions, all due to arrive from anywhere between three hours and even a month!”
His golden eyes widened with horror as it featured the map of the true world with many, many triangles, tracking dotted lines, indicating the incoming convoy of aircrafts and fleets that converged upon the Panama Continent.
Their speeds varied from remarkably fast aircrafts to very slow ships that were in no hurry to reach the Panama Continent.
“No…” the voice of the Emperor of Harmony faltered as he beheld the countless convoys that were moving straight towards the Panama Continent.
The air boiled, fraught with danger.
The atmosphere grew electric with peril.
The mood in the air was saturated with despairing reckoning.
The Panama Continent had barely managed to fend off four invasions, and had yet failed to fend off the fifth.
And now, three days after the Unfolding, a new wave of outsiders converged upon the continent.
