Another golden flash of light bloomed and a confused golden giant appeared, it was the so-called godchild, and the eyes of Staff looking at this golden giant twinkled.
The godchild looked at the white-haired girl, his confusion heightening as he felt a faint sense of connection between them,
"Do I know you?" he asked hesitantly,
"No," Staff smiled sadly, "but I know you... you are the blade of my father, but now you must return to him so that he can awaken."
Staff made an arcane gesture, and the space before them rippled and parted, and within was a white-haired man, who even in death still stands, and missing from his right hand was his sword.
"If you can win, then you shall be my brother. If he wins, I shall have my father."
"Whatever needs to happen, needs to happen fast..." Andar pointed out, his calm gaze focused on the horizon, "I believe our opponent is that thing arising over there."
Time passed more quickly inside his dimension than in reality outside, which was a secret that Rowan would be using to gain an advantage in this battle.
The Eye of Time had previously stopped Rowan's Reflection from finalizing his complete ascension to the fourth-dimensional level of the Will of Time, and his Will was only half completed.
In the past, there were many occurrences of immortals failing to complete their Will formation, and usually, such events would cause the immortals to go mad as the dissonance between their body and soul would tear them apart from the inside out. The hope of ever completing their Will formation was forever shattered if they did not manage to finish this process as quickly as possible after the failure of their ascension, any later and the result was always death. The most amount of time an immortal ever spent to complete a half-formed Will formation was twelve thousand years, and that was a seventh-dimensional immortal. Rowan had mentally spent billions of years with a half-formed Will formation, and this was for an unprecedentedly powerful Will such as time.
Although this dissonance should have torn his mind apart, his physical and soul attributes at this point were unprecedented, and he could easily shrug past this hurdle, he already carried much heavier burdens, and a half-formed Will formation could not even be considered a problem for him at this point.
His blooming soul did not clash with his consciousness pillars, because he already had the experience of merging his consciousness pillars with his soul as a Reflection, and with that experience, he set out to improve upon it.
At the moment he had 77,777 massive Consciousness Pillars inside his dimension, this was the utmost limit of consciousness pillars he could hold as a third dimension. There was a time when acquiring a single consciousness pillar was a monumental achievement, however, upon becoming a living dimension and experiencing the lives of countless billions that slowly grew into the trillions, his consciousness pillars began to spring forth like grass.
With the call to ascend his Will, Rowan also controlled his Consciousness Pillars, making one side of their ends uproot themselves from his dimensional flesh.
Each pillar was so massive they defied a mortal's understanding, and they were launched towards his dimensional soul.
His soul had grown to fit his dimensional flesh and could now be regarded as a true dimensional soul, with mysteries that Rowsn had not even begun to unearth.
The consciousness pillars rotated themselves in mid-air, their other end piercing into his dimensional soul, and Rowan used the consciousness pillars as a connection point to merge his dimensional flesh with his dimensional soul, and something within him... clicked.
There was always a part of him that was missing, and now it had been completed. This change was gratifying but he did not allow his present comfort to cloud his vision.
With everything Rowan knew about the soul, he knew of its strengths and weaknesses, and if he was going to be getting a soul, he would make sure that he eliminated as many of those weaknesses as possible while enhancing its strengths. His consciousness pillars had advantages that his soul could not match and vice-versa, and Rowan was not going to choose one over the other when he could make them work together and to do so, he was not going to allow his soul to merge with his body like everyone else, which was a direct line of weakness that he would never allow.
Anyone who destroyed his body expecting a direct line to his soul would be very disappointed at what they would find.
Merging his dimensional flesh and his dimensional soul with his consciousness pillars went according to plan. There were millions of equally matching nodes in his dimensional flesh and soul, and he chose 77,000 of those nodes and connected them with the pillars.
This connection he had with the consciousness pillars was to be the foundation. He anticipated the changes that would occur when he made these connections, but even Rowan did not know everything going forward, every change in his body was new and unprecedented.
With this merger, the process of his Will Ascension went into overdrive.
His soul was already filled with the Will of Time, within it was the 33,000 streams of time that created his Time Vault ability.
Rowan's Reflection had collected all the streams of time from an Eternal Realm, and it was one of the reasons he praised his Reflection for exceeding his expectations. The World Stele would inevitably go crazy when it discovers that Rowan had taken all the power of time from this realm, it was not part of the deal. There were always supposed to be six Reflections, and the last three were Rowan's intervention.
With his understanding of the powers of the World Stele, if Thenos was resurrected, it should be able to allow him to acquire streams of time from other dimensions, and this should not cause any deal-breaking hatred between them, at least not yet. They needed each other if they were ever going to succeed.
The streams of time flowed from his soul and through the consciousness pillars and they poured into his dimensional flesh.
When the time streams were inside his soul they were invisible, only detectable to Rowan but as they flowed down his consciousness pillars, they became visible. Like 77,000 massive waterfalls appearing out of nowhere, they flowed from his soul and soaked his flesh, merging with it, and for the first time since he became a dimension, Rowan felt the touch of time filling his body.
When he was previously ascending the Will of Time he had not been able to experience time in its totality, he had needed a completed body for that and now that connection was complete.
His eyes were closed, but if they were open, then the changes that once inhabited his soul were now being etched on his eyes.
Previously the eye of his Reflection had dials like the face of a clock with nine dials that could be activated to unleash the Time-Stack ability, now that was gone, and replacing it was an hourglass.
