Chapter 1494 Dawn Of The Supreme Era (9)

Caine, The First Betrayer, and Shamaran, Mother of Poison, battled across multiple dimensions, and reality suffered in their wake.

The howls of pain, despair, and horror arose from a billion trillion living beings, and they were soon silenced under the impossible might of forces that were only the Supreme Era. Ancient and filled with madness, these children of Primordial Chaos did not care who would suffer from the fallout from their battle.

Caine battled to his heart’s content, laughing as vast stretches of his body were shattered and consumed by billions of snakes, but he grew countless mouths from his body and fed on those snakes as well.

The battle between Caine and Shamaran was a dance of flesh and madness that went beyond what most immortal minds could fathom, as the blood that could quench galaxies of stars was shed at every moment and reality went insane alongside these combatants, bringing forth horrors that should only exist in the depths of the foulest nightmares.

Due to how infinite the scope of reality was to an immortal, it was easy to forget the devastation that could be caused by a battle between two Old Ones as powerful as these two. Existence was simply so vast that even the death of so many could barely be regarded as a fraction in the statistics of lives dwelling in reality, however, did this mean that their misery had no meaning?

Some so many worlds and realms suffered from being close to the battle between these two Titans and this was simply an unintended consequence from two beings who now had free reins to battle to their heart’s content without the hammer of other Primordial forces falling on them because of the loss of the Frozen Road.

In the past when the Frozen Road was still present, if two Old Ones like these were to battle, causing the devastation of so many worlds and dimensions, they would have easily been tracked and reinforcements sent over to stop them. Without the frozen road, reality was no longer a single whole, fragmented into infinite pieces, a true age of chaos had been unveiled, and it was a mistake to think only the lower realms were suffering with the present state of things, even the higher realms no longer had it easy, and this state of existence was quite ironic considering that Primordial Chaos had been deemed as an enemy of reality by all, but it was his works that had kept reality in order. His road that had illuminated all existence since the beginning of the Supreme Era had been overlooked and before these new changes in reality could be adjusted to by its inhabitants, certain growing pains would be suffered.

It was unknown how much damage reality would have suffered under the hands of these two children of chaos before it finally drew the attention of the Primordial forces, but luckily for the fortunate who were next in line to fall from the senseless rampage, a force of Will, more powerful than anything in present creation, fell upon these two and they vanished.

When they reappeared they were in a new land, a vast desert, and before the understanding of what had happened to them had the chance to fully settle, a great power slammed against both Old Ones and drove them to their knees, while inflicting such great damage to their essence that if not for their soul strength and bloodline powers, both would have instantly perished, instead they were driven to their weakest state.

The force that had been exerted on their bodies had pulled out nearly 99.99999% of all the essence stored in their bodies and it took the form of an ocean of blood that was so vast it darkened the sky.

This blood poured upon the sands like rain, and the Great Desert swallowed every drop of it in relish, its final injuries from the assault on it by the invaders were gone and the Great Desert was whole once more, it only took the deaths of countless Primordial Bloods plus the near drain of two of the most powerful Old Ones in existence to fully heal it.

Caine and Shamaran were at the edge of death, but these ancient monsters had nearly forgotten what it felt like to fear death for long, it was not as if they were not afraid of dying, it was only that their perception of reality was odd, and death came in many flavors and varieties, and there was a certain extent of damage that could be sustained without any sense of danger being exerted on their core.

Both of them could have battled to the end of time, killed themselves billions of times over and sustained wounds that were truly horrific, but they would not be afraid of death, because this was a concept that we very difficult to latch unto their nearly inviolable souls, however, this ambiguity that they both had towards death had been pushed aside before the presence of a force that predated creation itself.

Shamaran did not try to fight against the force pressing her to the ground, barely alive, her heart was beating so fast that it was possible to hear the bones around her chest being fractured, it had been a long time since she sensed the wrath of Primordial Chaos and even at that moment, it was not directed towards her, and she could never forget that Memory, not even if she wanted to forget it.

Under the full weight of the wrath of Primordial Chaos, Shanaran held on to sanity by the edge of her bleeding fingers. It would be an easy thing to allow her mind to disintegrate but she knew if she did that, the punishment she would face would make what she was experiencing a picnic.

You did not deny Primordial Chaos his prize, and if her suffering was the slightest payment she could make, then she would grit her teeth and ensure until… no, there was no until she would endure.

The only thing that was giving her a bit of solace was the presence of Caine beside her who was cursing with everything that was left in him. ‘Now this was a bastard who had long had his reckoning at hand.
