The Primordial Record

Chapter 1552 1552: Shadow and Flame

It was clearly unnatural and was an aberration that should be cleansed with flame and the screams of the countless billions currently jubilating on the surface of the realm like demented maggots. Soon, they would all know their place, and if what she suspected was going to be happening to Andar soon enough was not a deterrent, then she would be willing to slaughter them all.

Her frown turned to a fierce grin as she leered at Andar, “Would you come quietly with us, or…”

Her armor and those of the nine Flame Guards surrounding Andar lit up with a full hum as the constant connection that they had with the Supreme Tower of Endirius began to solidify into tangible runes that branded the space around them, turning the area for a thousand miles into a fiery hell, one where even a seventh dimensional mage would squirm in discomfort,

“… I break you into pieces and drag your screaming body and soul to the Supreme Mage. Any sort of resistance on your end, and the fate that your family suffers would be one that is terrible.”

Andar did not seem to feel the heat, his body effortlessly repelling the domain that had been cast around him. At first, he wanted to follow them. He knew that his real target was the Supreme Magus himself, and anything that would get him closer to Endirius was all that mattered, but something drew his attention, and he stopped the movement he was about to make as he turned towards the woman leering at him.

Her beautiful face was surrounded by long flowing red hair, but beyond the surface beauty that she held, her negative emotions bled through her body like smoke, tainting the air around her.

Andar stroked his chin as he looked at her deeply, and then he said,

“I don’t think even after all these years that I know your name.”

Her eyes widened, and then her mouth opened and closed like a fish out of water. Her eyes flashed with confusion because of everything she expected to hear from Andar; this was not it. Then, a fierce blush colored her cheeks as rage filled her heart.

“Come with us in this moment, or I shall gladly brand my name on your soul.”

Andar calmly looked around him and calmly replied, “No.”

The Flame Guards, ancient mages who had long become used to trampling on every life on this Realm, did not hesitate to attack Andar despite the halo of power that surrounded him. A genius of the sixth-dimensional level was nothing before the might of the Supreme Mage.

A piercing scream shook the air as the domain surrounding Andar suddenly multiplied in strength. If at first the domain felt as if he had been placed inside an oven, the sudden change made it feel as if he had been transported into the core of a star.

Andar shuddered as a silver forcefield surrounded him, its strength and complexity would leave any sixth-dimensional immortal in the dust, but a shield of this power was nothing before the might of ten Flame Guards, whose combined strength after pulling directly from the heart of the realm was equal to ten Old Ones.

The silver shield around Andar began to compress, forcing him to his knees. He would have been crushed into a paste if not for supporting the collapsing shield with his two hands pressed against its side.

A squelching noise like the sound of a body being crushed under a heavy weight broke through the shield surrounding Andar as his body was crushed to the size of a child.

The red eyes of the woman who did not don her helmet looked upon Andar with perverted enjoyment, but the only thing that was stopping her from fully relishing this moment was the two silver eyes of Andar, that was still peering at her with no fluctuation in his gaze, it was as if the act being performed on his body did not even matter.

Before her disbelieving eyes, she saw Andar taking his crushed finger and pressing it against the shield, writing, “What is your name?”

She sneered, not bothering to reply, which gave her a burst of pleasure that was almost orgasmic. She pressed more of her intent against the Flame Armor, feeling its bite scouring her soul, but the pain was nothing before the might it gave her. The shield surrounding Andar became smaller; now it was barely bigger than a child of three, and the body of Andar was nearly unrecognizable. He was almost a ball of crushed flesh.

However, like two shining stars, his two silver eyes still peered at the woman, and a sense of disquiet was beginning to arise from her soul. She no longer hesitated and broke through the limiter set upon the armor for a Magus of her rank, pressing her rage against the silver shield that would not break.

Her eyes exploded from their sockets and her hair turned into a river of flame, countless cracks filled her body as gut-wrenching pain was inflicted upon her cell of her body, there was a terrible price to be paid for calling upon such a power with the level of an Archmage, but her Supreme Talent and Frost Mourne Meditation Art that she cultivated made her to barely be able to resist the power that she was channeling through the armor.

The pain she suffered was not in vain, because the silver shield was shrunk to the size of a watermelon and the silver eyes peering at her finally receded into the ball of red flesh that Andar had become, and she fiercely smiled,

“Bring that thing with us; he has much to answer for.”

The nine Flame Guards began to walk towards the silver orb with their hands outstretched in front of them, maintaining the pressure they were exerting on Andar. Although suppressing him looked easy, all of them were in intense pain as they had to channel all the power they could to their utmost limit, or Andar would shatter their domain.

Turning towards the crowd still experiencing breakthrough, the woman grimaced with disgust, and a thought entered her mind to burn them all.

It did not take long for this thought to form for her to begin creating a ball of fire in her palm when she felt a chill in her spine as a cool voice spoke behind her ear,

“You still fell for the same trick twice.”

Her head twisted to the side with shock at the sound of Andar’s voice so close to her ears, but to her horror, the motion of her head did not stop as it flew away from her neck, rotating twice in the air before falling to her feet.

Her shadow under her feet and those of every Flame Guard suddenly grew wings filled with tentacles, and she realized that one of those tentacles had sliced through her neck.

A fierce pain like nothing she had ever felt filled her soul, and her eyes widened in shock and horror as a tentacle made from shadows circled her armor and dug into the stump of her neck.
