The change of administrative divisions, put simply, is for the convenience of the better governance of each state. Therefore, the direction of the amendments of administrative divisions should also lean toward this major theme.
The most critical is the division of the capital where Saint Arthur Castle is located, as well as the division between New South Wales State and Victoria State.
Others, like the division of West Australian State and South Australia State, are not difficult, as the population of these two states is not large, and there are not too many factors to consider when dividing.
During this period, the House of Representatives should be the busiest department.
Because they are responsible for reviewing the administrative division designs delivered by newspapers, this has made the members of the House of Representatives extremely busy and not dare to be negligent.
"Mike, come and take a look, this design is interesting." Inside an office of the House of Representatives, an old man who looks over fifty years old called out to another person.
"Buddy, you’ve said that at least three times today, but none of the designs meet the government’s requirements. I advise you not to pin your hopes on the public, as the designs of ordinary people have too many limitations and are basically their own imagination." The man named Mike complained with his mouth but walked honestly to the other person’s side.
"This one is different, my friend. Look at this division, it comes with the reasons for the division and the data of the states after the division. Based on his division thinking, this is a very reasonable administrative division map." Davis said unconcernedly.
"Huh?" Mike picked up this administrative division design, just about to criticize it, and then found the differences between this design and others.
"Capital Territory? Northern Australia? My god, is this really a design by an ordinary person?" Mike asked incredulously."Of course, my friend. Instead of being surprised at the source of this design, it’s better to seriously study the rationality of this design. Mike, we might have found a good design." Davis said with a smile.
As a very patriotic Australasian, Davis is happy to see such a reasonable design for the government’s administrative divisions.
"Submit it to the Speaker and let everyone vote! This may be the first administrative division design to be submitted to the Cabinet, and we’ll have to see the Cabinet’s attitude." Mike also nodded, speaking rationally.
The House of Representatives holds a focused voting every week for the seemingly reasonable administrative division plans collected.
So far, there are no administrative division designs approved by more than 70%, which is what Davis and Mike are looking forward to.
Soon, the meeting of the House of Representatives began again.
More than ten administrative division designs participated in the voting, but only two designs received more than 70% support and were successfully reported to the Cabinet Government.
The Cabinet Government, which received these two administrative division designs, also began discussions at this time.
As the final decision-making stage for administrative divisions, the Cabinet Government attaches great importance to these designs, and must consider all aspects, including population, economy, industry, agriculture, etc., to ensure that there are no problems with new administrative divisions.
However, the good news is that the population of Australasia, which all comes from immigrants, has already formed a unified Australasian ethnicity. There is not much difference between them.
This also reduces nationality-related issues in the division of administrative divisions. After all, everyone is a unified Australasian, and no matter how they are divided, it will not change this fact.
After discussion by the Cabinet Government, they eventually submitted the design discovered by Mike and Davis to Arthur, requesting his final decision.
June 1921, Sydney Palace.
Arthur was quite satisfied with the administrative division design submitted by the Cabinet Government.
This administrative division design has a relatively significant change to the existing administrative divisions of Australia.
Except for the absence of changes in Tasmania State, there have been adjustments in all other administrative divisions in Australia.
Of course, the current Capital Territory has seen the smallest change; it has simply been renamed as Sydney Territory.
The separation of West Australian State and South Australia State is somewhat reminiscent of the later Northern Territory in Australia, except that the newly formed Northern Australia State now occupies part of West Australian State, making it even bigger.
It is somewhat like dividing West Australian State and South Australia State into thirds, with West Australian State, South Australia State, and Northern Australia State forming a triangular trend, and the area between the three states not being much different in size.
The new Northern Australia State’s capital, Darwin, is the largest city in northern Australia, which makes it an appropriate choice for the capital of the newly formed state.
Such divisions help to reduce the land area of West Australian State and South Australia State, further partitioning the vast area of Western Australia into three distinct sections, which is more conducive to the governance of the country and state governments.
Next up is the heavyweights in the administrative division, which is the division of the Eastern Australia region.
Different from all previous speculative designs, this design endorsed by the Cabinet Government and House of Representatives broadly divides New South Wales State into east and west halves.

The eastern New South Wales State retains its original name, with its capital still in Newcastle.
Meanwhile, the western New South Wales State incorporates part of the southwestern Queensland State and the northern part of Victoria State along the Mure River to form a vast Capital Territory, with the capital located at Saint Arthur Castle.
The advantage of doing so is that it significantly decreases the size of New South Wales State, as well as reducing the area of Victoria State and Queensland State. It expands the number of administrative divisions in Eastern Australia to six, each with a smaller area and fewer populace. Thus, the pressure to manage them is greatly reduced.
Simultaneously, the new Capital Territory will cover the entire Mure River Basin, which will be a priority area for development in the future.
Forming a triangular pattern, Sydney, Melbourne, and Saint Arthur Castle will radiate across the southeast Australia’s four administrative divisions, creating the most prosperous and developed area in Australia.
Although the area of New South Wales State has been reduced by nearly half, the relatively prosperous eastern regions have been retained, minimizing the damage.
According to current estimates, if the Australian region were to be divided according to the new administrative divisions, the overall situation among the states would be much closer, and the huge advantage of Victoria State and New South Wales State would no longer exist.
In this case, Victoria State would become the most economically developed state, followed by New South Wales State, Sydney Territory, and West Australian State.
The gap between these administrative divisions has been significantly narrowed, making the overall division more reasonable.
Of course, South Australia State and Queensland State are not faring much worse than the previous few states. Although they are at the disadvantage, the gap is not huge, and there is hope for catching up.
While the newly established administrative divisions of the Capital Territory and Northern Australia State currently cannot compare in terms of economy and industry to other early-established divisions, the northerly Northern Australia State is the most developed part of the northern coast of Australia.
The Capital Territory is the focus of Australasia’s future development, both having impressive potential and promising prospects.
Apart from the exception of Tasmania State, this system of administrative divisions is relatively reasonable, with good development prospects for each state and no significant gap between them, which basically meets Arthur’s and the government’s various requirements for the new administrative divisions.
Particularly, dividing the southeastern most developed corner of Australasia into four separate administrative divisions effectively reduces the administrative burden on the original New South Wales State and Victoria State.
Moreover, the special case of Sydney has been preserved, being renamed as Sydney Territory while still maintaining its status as an independent special administrative zone outside of the various states.
After all, the population of Sydney has surpassed 3 million, which is more than that of many states.
Furthermore, Sydney’s current status is still unique; until the complete construction of Saint Arthur Castle and the palace, Sydney will continue to serve as the capital of Australasia. Retaining its administrative division is the most appropriate and suitable choice for now.
