"Damn it! What a joke!!"
Sieg muttered as he ran, followed by the Imperial Court Mage Corps. Initially, Sieg and his team were advancing with Orihime. However, Orihime, being a demi-human, had physical abilities surpassing those of humans. She gradually pulled ahead, and the barrier path she had created disappeared.
As a result, Sieg and his team had to travel on foot to the royal capital. But this turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
"What the—!?"
Suddenly, magic rained down from the sky. Sieg and his team dodged it and looked up. A fierce aerial battle was unfolding.
"What's going on!?"
Sieg readied himself for combat. The Dragon Knights and Gryphon Knights were fighting against two humans in the sky. However, these humans were effortlessly shooting down the knights.
"Lord Sieg, what's happening here?"
A member of the Imperial Court Mage Corps asked Sieg, who was equally puzzled. However, he knew who the enemy was and who his allies were.
"Support the Dragon Knights and Gryphon Knights! The ones in the sky are the Captain of the Royal Guard and the Holy Maiden of the Kingdom! Create barriers; I need footholds!""That's a tall order...!"
The Imperial Court Mage Corps were elite mages, but creating barriers in the sky was an advanced technique. Still, they complied with Sieg's request. Half of them focused on maintaining the barriers, creating fifty footholds in the sky. For Sieg, that was enough.
"Thanks!!"
Sieg used the barriers as footholds to ascend into the sky, where Fin and Leticia were engaged in combat. Leticia was initially ordered by Al to stay back due to the threat of the Demon Secret Society. However, she had joined the battle upon receiving a request for reinforcements from Leo.
Suddenly, they were ambushed. Demons that had already been summoned, like Stras, were still around.
"Lady Leticia! Please escape!"
Leticia's guards tried to hold off the demons, but they were relentless in their pursuit of Leticia. However, Sieg intervened.
"I'll leave one to you, young Dragon Knight."
"Eh? Ah! Yes!!"
Sieg told Fin, who was near Leticia, and then knocked down an approaching demon to the ground, making it a two-on-two situation.
"Go now!"
Sieg urged Leticia to leave. The royal capital might not be safe, but Leticia's Holy Staff would be more useful there. Leticia nodded and left the scene with her remaining guards, while Sieg and Fin held off the demons. ṛА𐌽ö₿ÈŞ
"Whoa... Your opponent is me, you know?"
The demon Sieg had knocked down returned to the sky without much damage. Sieg blocked its path and readied his spear. The demon was a tough opponent, but Sieg grinned.
"Let's dance!"

Gremory, one of Asmodeus's close aides, was facing off against Linares. Gremory's host was a once beautiful young man, but Gremory herself was in a female form.
"You're ugly. What's with that bulky body?"
Gremory had absolute confidence in her beauty, and to her, Linares was an object of disgust.
"Ah? You can't appreciate my beauty? How pitiful."
"I wouldn't want to. How can you even show yourself in public like that? I couldn't."
"I have nothing to hide. It's just a difference in aesthetic sense."
"Seems so."
Both took their stances but didn't move. They knew each other's capabilities too well, making it hard to take the first step. Finally, they broke their stances.
"It seems we've reached the same conclusion."
"Indeed. It's a shame. If you were beautiful, I would have made you my subordinate."
"And I would have been your friend if your aesthetic sense was normal."
Both smiled and then launched their attacks. Linares with a thrust, Gremory with a kick. The collision created a shockwave, but neither backed down. They knew that retreating would mean defeat. Linares felt exhilarated by this challenging fight.
"I am beautiful right now!"
"I told you, you're ugly!"
