A jet-black torrent was released, heading straight for the allied forces. The previous black torrent was simply a normal attack. This time, this attack was meant to be a finishing blow. A spiral black torrent headed towards the barriers erected by Orihime and her allies. The Royal Mage Corps' ritual barrier was shattered in an instant but it wasn't their barrier, which was a mimic of Orihime's that was fragile. Evidence of this was seen as four layers of Orihime's barrier were also broken in quick succession. The mages of the Royal Mage Corps fell one after another after spewing blood. If the barriers were broken here, their sacrifices would be in vain. Sensing the spark of life from the mages extinguishing, Orihime bit her lip till it bled and stretched her hands forward.

"Nothing shall pass beyond this point!"

With renewed determination, Orihime infused power into the barrier. The attack was incomparable to before. While on the verge of losing consciousness several times over, Orihime still managed to maintain the barrier.

She couldn't push back and could only defend. She could only endure, yet Orihime continued to endure.

Eventually, Asmodeus's attack faded away, making Orihime nearly collapse to her knees but she somehow managed to retain conscious.

"I've blocked it…"

As if to say, "how about that," Orihime smiled. It was a bluff to boost the army’s morale, yet Orihime still managed to smile. However, her smile froze as Asmodeus prepared the same attack again.

"…Damn you…"

Struggling to stand and erect a barrier, Orihime found herself powerless.

(This is the end) she thought.

But at that moment…

"It's okay. Leave the rest to me. I won't let Orihime-sama bear everything alone."

Next to Orihime, Chloe muttered those words. Chloe spread her twin swords to the sides.

While being unable to conjure another barrier as she was completely drained, Orihime murmured.
