Chapter 2089: The Macadam Family Chapter 2089: The Macadam Family Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation Hearing Braydon Neal’s question, Grandpa Tree’s eyes flickered with surprise.
“Your question is quite unexpected, especially for someone like me.” He shook his head with a soft chuckle, waving his hand in the air.
Instantly, a glowing floor plan materialized before them.
A green light flashed repeatedly at a specific spot.
“This is where we are now—a haven for plants,” Grandpa Tree explained, his finger hovering over the map.
He tapped next to the green light, and that area turned a soft blue.
“This is a body of water, the domain of my good friend Evelyn.
It’s teeming with aquatic life.” His finger then glided to another section, which darkened to black.
“This is under the jurisdiction of the Naga.
Our relationship is…
cordial at best.
Their leader, Eren Slytherin, is cold but decisive.
He won’t trouble you as long as you don’t provoke him.
In fact, he might even have his subordinates extend hospitality.” Finally, his finger stopped at the center.
“And this last place…” Grandpa Tree’s expression turned serious.
“This is the Naga’s territory, and I advise you to stay far away.
The six-winged lion king rules there.
Arrogant and domineering, he won’t hesitate to destroy intruders.” Braydon studied the areas Grandpa Tree indicated, his expression shifting slightly.
Four level nine transcendents, one of whom was an unyielding destroyer—it was clear the lion king had a dangerous temperament.
“Grandpa Tree, what about the center of the map?” Braydon asked, pointing at the middle.
“That’s where the formation spirit resides,” Grandpa Tree said gravely.
“But I strongly advise against going there.
The formation spirit is emotionless, driven by a singular purpose: restoring the Heavenly Pillar.
If sacrificing the four of us would achieve that goal, he wouldn’t hesitate.” Braydon nodded, his questions seemingly answered.
“Thank you, Grandpa Tree.
Please send me out now.” Grandpa Tree regarded him thoughtfully, then released a wisp of his aura, letting it envelop Braydon.
“Child, don’t return here in the future.
This place isn’t fit for someone with your potential.” Feeling the teleportation power activate, Braydon glanced back at Grandpa Tree with a faint smile before vanishing in a flash of white light.
Grandpa Tree’s face twitched with a mix of emotion.
Braydon’s parting words lingered in his mind, making him pace back and forth.
Braydon reappeared outside the valley.
The burly man guarding the entrance stared at him in astonishment.
“Four days?!” the man blurted out.
“Why are you back already?
You weren’t supposed to leave until tomorrow!” “Four days?” Braydon frowned, puzzled.
By his count, he had been inside for less than a day.
“Yes, four days,” the man confirmed, admiration flickering in his eyes.
“Regardless, it’s impressive.
Few survive the Life and Death Valley, let alone leave early.
You must be extraordinary.” Ignoring the praise, Braydon pulled out the jade token Locke Macadam had given him.
With no lingering attachment to it, he crushed the token and stood silently, waiting.
The sky soon darkened as a swarm of night crows descended.
Some landed nearby, while others circled above.
Braydon tossed a piece of meat into the air, and in a flash, one crow snatched it mid-flight.
“Go find food,” Braydon instructed, stroking their feathers.
“Return in two hours.” A voice interrupted.
“Little brother, where are you from?
Controlling the night crows isn’t something just anyone can do.” Braydon turned to see the speaker, his gaze icy and unwelcoming.
“They’re not controlled,” he said sharply.
“They’re my friends—companions I trust with my life.” The man paled, hastily apologizing.
“I meant no offense.
I’m Stennis Leath, an inner disciple of the Myriad Demon Sect’s Third Peak.
Please forgive my rudeness.” Braydon didn’t reply, maintaining his aloof demeanor.
Stennis could only sigh inwardly.
“This must be the pride of a genius.” Two hours later, a shadow appeared on the horizon—a massive steel eagle.
Stennis’s expression shifted.
“The Macadam family’s steel eagle?
What brings them here?” The eagle landed, and a figure leapt from its back with a hearty laugh.
“Braydon, I knew you’d survive the valley!” Locke exclaimed, beaming as he approached.
Stennis’s jaw dropped.
Locke—the head outer disciple of the Myriad Demon Sect and a scion of the declining Macadam family—was no ordinary figure.
Yet here he was, addressing Braydon with such familiarity.
“I’ll need your help getting to the Myriad Demon Sect,” Braydon said flatly.
“Of course,” Locke replied.
“Let’s go.” As the two prepared to leave, Stennis watched in awe.
“Could Braydon be the Macadam family’s key to resurgence?”
