The World Conquest: Giving Birth To Become A God
Chapter 778 - 778: Top 1 Architectural WonderThe first architectural wonder of the Aeon Plane is the Atrium of Law.
The place of the beginning, where all law, energy, matter, and phenomena converge.
Having control of the Atrium of Law means having control over every being’s life and destruction.
Hearing Pandora’s explanation, Maximus finally understood why the entities of law insisted that having a contractual partner with them would be helpful in the future.
Just to enter the Atrium of Law, one had to possess a key, an Entity of Law.
To control the Atrium of Law, one had to be recognized and resonate with all the keys, becoming one with them and finally becoming the Master of the Aeon Plane.
“Huh! Now everything makes sense…”
Old Origin had been urging, telling him to hurry up and finish the Trial of Origin. To not worry about anything else. To focus on enhancing his strength, knowledge, and will.
Even the Dark Disaster wasn’t a priority. According to the Entity of Origin, as long as he completed the Trial of Origin, everything would fall into his hands.
The Entity of Origin must have been preparing him for the inevitable trial, to seize the throne from the others and gain the recognition of all Entities of Law.
With the Atrium of Law, the number one architectural wonder resonating a hundred percent with the Aeon Plane, one could become the Plane Master.
The power to create and destroy. The power to control all laws, energy, matter, and phenomena. A power comparable to an Archon!
Although it was doubtful if it could fully repel the Dark Disaster, it was enough to give the Aeon Plane the strength to stand on its own and gain a large breathing space.
“But why hasn’t anyone been able to control the Atrium of Law? If someone had ascended to the throne during the first Dark Disaster, we wouldn’t be in this mess,” Maximus asked in puzzlement.
“Uh—according to Master, the Entities of Law planned to start the trial after the Aeon Plane repelled the Dark Disaster.”
“By then, the individuals who remained would be the top talents, those with the heart for the Aeon Plane, along with the luck and talent to steer everyone in the right direction.”
“Unfortunately, unaware of their plan, my master and the other overlords broke their contracts with the Entities of Law before the trial began.”
Hearing this, Maximus was speechless. He couldn’t tell if the Entities of Law were too insidious or if the overlords were just too heartless.
If the Overlords had waited a little longer before the second Dark Disaster erupted, the trial for the Atrium of Law probably would’ve started.
Fortunately, perhaps because of fate, or the True Path choosing the perfect place, Maximus still had the chance to snatch the throne from everyone.
According to his deduction, the only enemies he had were Atlas, Zar, Paragon, the clone of Sira, the incarnation of Nyx, and Marcus.
There were also those talents on the verge of blooming like Malgron, Ugur, Reed, Luck, Regulus, the Seven Absolutes of the Court of Council, and the top powerhouses of each family and organization.
It could be said enemies were coming from all directions. What’s worse, while he stood at the forefront of the Dark Disaster, those talents were leisurely training in the back.
Thinking of this, Maximus couldn’t help but frown. Being used as a thug so others could peacefully train left an uncomfortable taste in his mouth.
Fortunately, time was on his side. The Trial for the Atrium of Law shouldn’t begin as long as the Dark Disaster didn’t erupt on a full scale or the Aeon Plane wasn’t on the brink of destruction.
However, thinking of Atlas, the son of the Plane, Maximus still felt threatened.
“I have to start training quickly!” Maximus thought, clenching his fist.
However, before he could do so, he had things to arrange.
The creation of automated machines for the Ring of Origin, ether devices that could extract plane origin, and the enhancement of micro surveillance bots.
Once he completed all of this, Maximus could put everything else behind and focus entirely on the Trial of Origin.
Having made up his mind, Maximus was no longer in the mood to talk to Pandora.
Pandora seemed to notice his shift in attitude, snorting in dissatisfaction.
“Do you still have any questions? If not, I’ll leave this place to you,” Pandora asked impatiently, eager to meet Iris.
“No. If I have questions, I’ll just contact you.”
“Hmph! Fine. If you need anything, just tell me. Finally, be careful with the equipment in the Space-Time Lab. This is Master’s life’s work, if you dare ruin it, prepare to face the wrath of an Overlord!”
It might seem like Frir was the easiest Overlord to talk to, but in the early days, he was known as the Smiling Devil.
By day, he would treat you with respect and admiration. By night, you were a guinea pig on his dissection table.
“I know. I’ll be careful.”
Although Maximus was arrogant, he knew his limits.
The Overlords humored him because of his usefulness and potential.
However, once he angered them beyond reason, they would turn fiercer than the dark beasts.
Maximus had many trump cards and weapons, but who’s to say the Overlords didn’t?
Just the architectural wonders they possessed were enough to send him packing. He wasn’t foolish enough to court their wrath.
“It’s good that you know. If you want to seek death, don’t drag Iris down with you.” Pandora sighed in relief, seeing that Maximus wasn’t completely insane.
“I know my limits. No need to remind me,” Maximus replied, waving her away.
“Tsk. Alright, I’m going. Remember everything I said.” Pandora clicked her tongue, giving Maximus one last warning before leaving.
Watching Pandora leave the Space Time Lab, Maximus finally revealed his smile.
“This woman finally left…”
With the place to himself, he could finally explore to his heart’s content.
Like someone picking a meal, Maximus leisurely walked toward the Data Tower of the Space-Time Lab.
“The Data Tower… I wonder how much knowledge is stored here.”
