ULTIMATE CHOICE SYSTEM: I BECAME THE RICHEST!

Chapter 256 Period Pain Reliever, Competition.

Noah stirred awake, the soft chime of his phone vibrating on the table beside him, pulling him from sleep. His eyes fluttered open, adjusting to the daylight filtering through the curtains. The screen of his phone lit up repeatedly with a string of notifications.

[Ding! $249,999 has been credited to your bank account ending in xx04.]

[Ding! $1,256,250 has been credited to your bank account ending in xx04.]

[Ding! $695,256 has been credited to your bank account ending in xx04.]

[Ding!…]

The notifications flooded in one after another, a continuous stream from his banking app. Noah rubbed his eyes, sitting up as he scrolled through the deposits. It was that time of the month—dividends day.

All his investments were paying off. His ownership of Walls4Us. His ownership of An’s Gourmet, the high-end restaurant chain that had become a favourite of food critics.

Crown Veridian, the prestigious five-star hotel he partially owned. And, of course, the numerous real estates he had given to Arthur, Lily’s father, to sell and rent.

Noah let out a quiet breath, setting his phone down. This life he had built, piece by piece, was starting to solidify. Each investment, each calculated risk, now flowed back to him like clockwork.

Swinging his legs over the bed, he stretched before heading to the bathroom. The cold splash of water on his face jolted him fully awake. He glanced at the clock on the wall—12:00 p.m.

“Six hours of sleep,” he muttered.

The house was quiet, almost too quiet. His parents were already at work. His sister, Emily, was nowhere to be seen either. Noah figured David had probably dropped her off at a friend’s house for the day.

As he made his way to the kitchen, his eyes landed on a folded piece of paper placed neatly on the table.

Curious, he picked it up and read the familiar handwriting.

“The food is in the oven, honey. All you need to do is turn it on, and it’ll be ready in about 10 minutes. Love, Mom.”

A soft smile tugged at Noah’s lips.

Even with his independence, his wealth, and his capabilities, Caroline still fussed over him like he was the same little boy she used to pack lunchboxes for. She knew he could order food from anywhere, or cook for himself with ease. But still, she wanted to make sure he was taken care of.

Noah placed the note down gently, feeling a warmth spread through him. Explore more adventures at My Virtual Library Empire

He turned on the oven as instructed, leaning against the counter as he waited. The faint hum of the appliance filled the otherwise silent kitchen. His mind, however, wasn’t silent.

Dividends are looking good this quarter, he thought. “But I need to keep an eye on Crown Veridian’s upcoming renovation project. And Arthur mentioned that we should start opening pharmaceutical branches since our period pain reliever has been grounded in the market, just like I planned.”

The timer beeped. Noah opened the oven, the warmth wafting out as he retrieved the neatly prepared meal.

He sat down at the table, taking a bite.

After finishing his food and washing the dish, Noah leaned against the kitchen counter, pulling out his phone. He scrolled through his contacts and tapped Arthur’s name.

The phone barely rang twice before Arthur’s voice came through, upbeat as ever. “Noah! How are you doing, mate?”

“I’m good,” Noah replied, his tone calm but focused. “How about you?”

“I’m doing great!” Arthur chuckled. “As expected, the period pain reliever has been a total game-changer. We’ve completely crushed the competition. Their products are just gathering dust on the shelves while ours is flying off.”

Noah nodded to himself, satisfied. “Any specific reports?”

“Oh, I’ve looked into the sales reports, social media buzz, and even industry analyses. Hundreds of thousands are demanding we increase supply. It’s wild,” Arthur said, a mix of pride and disbelief in his voice.

“We’ll increase production,” Noah said decisively. “But there’s something else we need to do first.”

“What’s that?” Arthur asked, intrigued.

“We need to end our contracts with other distributors after the current cycle.”

Arthur hesitated. “Why? Expanding with them could boost our sales even more.”

Noah’s voice was steady. “This is about control. We need to tighten our grip now so they know we’re not dependent on them. It’s a scare tactic. When they realize we’re serious, they’ll come crawling back with better terms.”

Arthur exhaled, processing the bold move. “I get it. It’s a power play. Alright, I’ll have the legal team draft the notices.”

“Good,” Noah said. “But that’s not all. I assume there’s more trouble brewing?”

Arthur sighed. “Yeah, other companies are already trying to defame us.”

Noah smirked faintly. “Of course they are. Do you know which ones?”

“There are several, but I’ve only confirmed one so far.”

“Leave it to me,” Noah said. “I’ll handle it.”

“Want to meet up to discuss this in detail?” Arthur offered.

“Not today,” Noah replied. “I’ve got a lot on my plate. Soon, though.”

“Alright, I’ll leave you to it,” Arthur said.

Speaking to his AI assistant, Noah requested the following.

“I want you to check all the accounts defaming our company, then trace for any sign of them linked to any of the current pharmaceutical companies.” He paused, then added, “You can hack, trace, and do whatever you can to these accounts.”

The AI’s response came immediately, its synthesized voice carrying a note of efficiency. “Alright, noted. The request requires a large set of data, so it will take me around 5 minutes to get through. Is that alright?”

“Sure,” he replied.

Exactly five minutes later, AI’s voice returned, this time with a hint of satisfaction. “The request has been completed. I have listed all the pharmaceuticals that are involved in defaming Thompson’s Pharmaceuticals with the evidence of their association.”

Noah glanced at the list of pharmaceutical companies that his AI assistant had listed with interest. They were all the top dogs of the period pain reliever pills, and they had tried to contact Arthur about selling the company, Arthur had told Noah, and Noah obviously refused.
