VILLAIN MMORPG: ALMIGHTY DEVIL EMPEROR AND HIS SEVEN DEMONIC WIVES
Chapter 982 - 982: Disagreement?Villain Ch 982. Disagreement?
The girls, suddenly aware of their unexpected audience, froze in place, their confident expressions instantly replaced by shock and embarrassment.
Vivian was the first to react, her eyes widening in horror as she quickly crossed her arms over her chest, her cheeks flushed a deep red. Her usual air of seduction had vanished as she tried to maintain some semblance of modesty.
Zoe, who had been standing closest to the sofa, instinctively grabbed a nearby cushion, her hands trembling slightly as she held it strategically in front of her. Her earlier playful demeanor had dissolved into a mix of confusion and indignation, her gaze darting between the screen and Allen as she struggled to process the situation.
Shea snatched up a bouquet of arranged flowers from a nearby vase. She held it up awkwardly, the vibrant blooms doing little to shield her. Her eyes were wide, and a faint blush colored her cheeks as she shot Allen a look that was equal parts embarrassed and accusatory.
Even Jane, who had been the most brazen, faltered in her confidence. The rose she had been toying with slipped from her mouth as she hurriedly plucked it out, holding it up as if the delicate petals could somehow offer her protection. Her usual confident smirk had been replaced by an almost girlish awkwardness, her shoulders hunched slightly as she tried to shrink into herself.
“You should’ve told us sooner!” Jane’s voice came out in a high-pitched whine, her voice now tinged with embarrassment and frustration. She shifted uncomfortably on her feet, her eyes avoiding the screen as if she could will the situation away by not looking at it.
Allen, still flustered and trying desperately to regain control of the situation, managed a weak, apologetic smile. “I… I didn’t expect you all to come in like this,” he stammered, his voice betraying the nervousness he felt.
Shea, her sharp eyes narrowing in on the computer screen, quickly recognized one of the figures on the call. “Is this meeting about the conference or… the game?” she asked, her tone suspicious as she tried to piece together what was going on. Her grip on the flower bouquet tightened, the stems bending under the pressure.
“It’s about the game,” Allen replied, his voice regaining some steadiness as he tried to inject a sense of normalcy back into the situation.
The girls, still awkwardly covering themselves, inched closer to Allen and the computer, their curiosity now piqued despite their lingering embarrassment.
Vivian, her embarrassment momentarily forgotten, leaned in closer, her arms still crossed over her chest as she peered at the screen. “What meeting?” she asked, her voice low and curious, her eyes scanning the faces on the call.
“Did we miss the invitation?” Larissa added, her brows furrowed in confusion. She wrapped her arms around herself, her usual confidence shaken as she tried to understand why they hadn’t been informed about this gathering. Her eyes flickered between Allen and the screen, seeking answers.
Bella, her frown deepening, looked at Allen with a hint of hurt in her eyes. “Why didn’t we know about this?” she asked softly, her voice carrying a note of disappointment. Her hands fidgeted with the edge of her dress, her earlier playfulness completely gone.
Feeling cornered and overwhelmed by the barrage of questions, Allen took a deep breath, trying to steady his nerves. “This meeting was called on short notice,” he explained, his voice firm but gentle as he addressed them. “It’s about the petitions that have been circulating in the player community—specifically, the one about making the Devil Emperor a romanceable character.”
“Romanceable?!” the girls exclaimed in unison, their voices a mix of shock and disbelief. Their eyes widened in unison, the collective realization hitting them like a wave. They all turned to Allen, their gazes intense and questioning, as if trying to decipher his thoughts on the matter.

Alice, her face paling slightly, stepped forward, her voice tinged with worry. “Wait, what do you mean you can ‘do it’ to all players?” she asked, her wide eyes reflecting the fear of losing something precious. Her fingers clutched the hem of her dress, twisting the fabric anxiously.
“I won’t allow that!” Zoe suddenly declared, her voice rising with anger as she glared at the screen. In her agitation, she forgot all about the cushion she had been using to cover herself, letting it drop to the floor as she focused entirely on the conversation. “How could I allow any woman to approach our beloved emperor? He’s exclusive to us!”
“Uh, Zoe, you need to cover up,” Bella gently reminded her, her voice soft yet urgent as she glanced at the screen where the staff members were still watching, their expressions a mix of shock and amusement. Bella’s cheeks reddened in secondhand embarrassment, but she couldn’t help the small smile that tugged at the corners of her lips at the absurdity of the situation.
Zoe, suddenly realizing her slip, hastily snatched the cushion back up, holding it tightly against her chest. Her face remained fierce with determination, but the slight tremor in her hands betrayed her lingering embarrassment.
“Even if it’s only for a few players, or if it’s just going to be a paid event or an auction, I don’t agree either,” she declared, her voice firm, eyes narrowing as she looked toward the screen.
Shea, standing beside her, nodded in agreement, her expression one of steely resolve. Shea’s significant stake in the game made her opinion carry considerable weight, and the serious set of her jaw indicated just how much she disapproved of the idea. “That’s the same as making Allen like a host,” Shea continued, her voice laced with disdain, her eyes narrowing further.
“Where he has to accompany players to do various romantic acts… or even take off his clothes just to please them.”
Kafra, who had been listening patiently up to this point, leaned forward slightly, her expression calm and unyielding. She met Shea’s gaze with a flat stare that seemed to pierce through the room’s tension. “But when Allen made the request the first time, you all agreed,” she said, her voice even and pointed, cutting through the girls’ objections with an almost surgical precision.
