It was certainly a luxurious place with how bustling this capital city was.
From above, it wasn’t hard to see all aspects of this capital city.
It wasn’t just the people alone that proved how bustling this place was, it was also the buildings and the materials that they were made of.
All of this showed that there was a high level of prosperity in this Laver Empire.
It truly deserved the title of one of the biggest empires on this magic continent.
It was also surprising seeing just how big the castle that we were in was.
But once the surprise of this faded, Lin Fan started looking carefully at the area.
It was clear that he was looking for specific things when he looked around. It was as if he was trying to figure out as much as he could about this place with the way that he looked around.
Though it wasn’t just because this place was the capital city of the Laver Empire.
Rather there was a specific reason for him looking carefully at this place.
It was all because this place was also Haku’s dungeon.
Or rather, it was on top of Haku’s dungeon.
Since Haku was a dungeon core, it was obvious that she would keep her dungeon in the safest place to her which would be the capital of the Laver Kingdom. But other than that, she would most likely offer a way into her dungeon to earn even more DP for herself.
It wasn’t hard to guess what Lin Fan was thinking, so Agnus said, “The entrance of our dungeon is at the center of the town. It’s the main attraction of our Laver Empire.”
Lin Fan looked back with a surprised look when he heard this, but then he gave a nod as if he had expected this.
Though the words that Haku added at the end weren’t necessary.
“If you want, I can throw you right into the dungeon so you can experience it firsthand.”
The slightly threatening tone to her voice made it clear what she would do if Lin Fan actually went into the dungeon. With the level that Haku was at, there was no doubt that her dungeon would be a dangerous place.
Not to mention that there was no doubt that she would deliberately make it hard for Lin Fan once he was in her dungeon.
Perhaps she might actually try to kill him and call it an accident.
But as long as he didn’t agree, it wasn’t as if Haku could actually force him to go since it would make Rokuko sad.
As long as Rokuko was around, Haku wouldn’t actually go too far.
But at the same time…
“Your majesty, please stop joking around. You know that there’s no time for these jokes.” Agnus actually scolded Haku for saying this.
Haku just made a face at Agnus after she said this, but she didn’t say anything else.
In the end, it was clear that the two of them were close with the way that Haku acted around her. If it was anyone else, Lin Fan didn’t doubt that Haku would have done something much more drastic to them for talking to her like this.
Perhaps Agnus was one of the few people in this world that could actually talk to Haku like this.
Instead of reacting to what Haku did, Agnus just turned back around to look at Lin Fan and Rokuko before saying, “Your highness and young master, please follow us. Everything has already been prepared for you to start working.”
A faint smile appeared on Lin Fan’s face when he heard this.
It didn’t seem like she was planning on letting him get any rest at all, she was planning on working him to the bone just like what Haku said.
Perhaps Agnus and Haku were more similar than he thought, but it wasn’t as if that was strange since Agnus was Haku’s hero unit in the first place. Perhaps it would have been more strange if Agnus hadn’t been affected by Haku at all.
But before they did start working, there was something that Lin Fan had to ask, “How are we going back to the cultivation continent later? I want to make sure that we know for later.”
That was when Haku suddenly revealed a wide smile as she looked at Lin Fan.
This was also the first time that Haku had ever smiled when she looked at Lin Fan.
The moment that she did this, Lin Fan could already expect something from her, but he still waited to see what she had to say.
“Who said that there was a way back? I only said that there was a way here, I never said that I had a way to send you back.” The smile on Haku’s face became wider as she said this, almost as if she was enjoying the feeling of saying these words to Lin Fan’s face.
However, it didn’t seem like Lin Fan reacted.
The only one that seemed to react was Rokuko who looked distressed.
It wasn’t a problem for her since she had two dungeon cores, so she wouldn’t have a problem going back if it came to that. It was just that she was worried about Lin Fan going back to the cultivation continent.
It seemed that Rokuko was about to say something, but Lin Fan raised a hand and stopped her in the end.
Instead of looking like he was bothered by this, Lin Fan just gave a simple nod in response to Haku’s smile and turned to Agnus to say, “Shall we go and take a look then?”
Haku couldn’t help being taken aback when she heard this as the smile on her face couldn’t help twitching.
At the same time, Rokuko looked at Lin Fan with a very strange look.
But Lin Fan just ignored all of this as he waited for Agnus to say something.
She had also been a bit surprised, but she eventually nodded in agreement and started leading the way.
Lin Fan followed behind her without any hesitation, leaving behind Haku and Rokuko standing there with strange looks on their faces. It was as if neither of them knew what to do in this situation.
In the end, they started following as well as if they were like ducks being led by their mother. They weren’t fully aware of what they were doing, but they still followed behind Lin Fan and Agnus.
While they were walking, Agnus slowed down for a second so that she could whisper something to Lin Fan.
“Don’t worry, we’ll figure out a way to send you back. Even if her majesty has other ideas, we’ll still figure out a way.”
The way that she said this was as if she was comforting Lin Fan, but really he wasn’t worried at all.
Perhaps he would have been if not for the other thing that he had.
But since he had this other thing, it didn’t really matter if Haku sent him back or not.
That was because the moment that Haku revealed that she wouldn’t actually send him back to the cultivation continent, there was a notification from his system.
“Cross continent portal unlocked.”
Lin Fan had been completely caught off guard when he heard this, but then he slowly asked in his mind, “System, why has this suddenly unlocked?”
The system just calmly said, “Host, the system is here to help you. That is why the system has unlocked this for the host.”
Lin Fan didn’t really buy these words, so he asked, “No, seriously. Why did you suddenly decide to unlock this feature?”
The system was silent for a bit before suddenly saying, “The system wasn’t able to open this feature previously because a few conditions had been missing. Now that the host has experienced cross continental transfer, the system has recorded this and has unlocked this feature.”
“So you’re saying that if I didn’t experience it first, you wouldn’t have unlocked it?” Lin Fan asked in a questioning voice.
This time, the system didn’t say anything.
There was a long silence that lingered as Lin Fan waited for a response from the system.
So in the end, the system finally said, “Host, the system was created to help the host. The system is just doing what it can to help the host.”
Lin Fan didn’t say anything in response to this at first, but eventually he said, “Alright, I’ll believe you.”
After all, the system hadn’t done anything to harm him so far.
Until now, the system had indeed done what it could to help him whenever it did something. So this was the minimum that he could believe from the system.
At the very least, this meant that he would have a way back even if Haku didn’t send him back.
So that was why Lin Fan wasn’t worried at all when he heard what Haku said.
Rather, he began plotting in his mind to see what he could get out of her for this.
If she didn’t send them back, there was no doubt that Rokuko wouldn’t be happy about this.
If Rokuko wasn’t happy, then that meant that Haku would be affected as well.
In that case, he would just use this to see what he could fleece out of Haku.
Though he did feel a bit sorry towards Rokuko for doing this.
Still, it wasn’t too late to tell her the truth later.
He would wait until he got everything that he wanted from Haku and then make it up to her.
