The grandfather and grandson duo were startled when they saw the destruction caused by three flying creatures. They did not get a clear look at what kind of creature they were as they moved so fast before they could see them. One thing was for sure: they were all pitch black, which blended with the night.

They were so focused on the camp that they did not realize when Tang Shaoyang used his Bloodline Transformed. The duo startled again, not expecting the majestic transformation from Tang Shaoyang. There was an absolute aura around them that made them want to worship the mercenary, something that only royalty would have.

Blaise Osmond and Volans felt the same way when they met the late Sorcerer Monarch. However, the feeling was stronger when they looked at this unknown mercenary.

“It’s best if you listen to me, stay here quietly, and watch. Don’t make things even more difficult for me,” Tang Shaoyang reminded the grandfather and the grandson as he jumped off the cliff. It was followed by Jovrick, Gianni, and Mathias.

Ruben and Nikolas stayed behind, exactly behind Volans instead of following Tang Shaoyang to the battle.

“Why are you here?” Volans noticed the two stayed behind.

“Protecting your ass, young lord, what else?” Nikolas rolled his eyes, replying playfully.

“We are tasked to protect you from any danger and also from assassins. Don’t mind us, and you can do whatever you want. You should be safe with us here, protecting you,” Ruben answered softly with his toneless voice.

“I don’t need your protection, and I am safe here. You should help Sir Tang Shaoyang.”

Ruben shook his head, “You should worry about yourself.” He motioned with his head toward the battlefield.

Volans turned toward the camp that was ablaze with black fire and a tornado. Then he saw more giant creatures that he did not recognize. He even saw a creature that was similar to a dragon, or maybe it was an actual dragon.

His grandfather stood next to him with his mouth open. The battle left him speechless, and everyone had the same reaction. They did not know where these creatures came from.

Tang Shaoyang walked through the burning camp as the screams and the ring of the bell mixed in the air. Blood slid down from the Azure Blade Dragon as if he had just killed someone who came at him. He walked on the battlefield as his spirits did their work.

He hoped for a little bit more entertainment, but the God Rank was too weak. He killed them in three attacks, whether they were in their Bloodline Transformation or not.

Not all spirits were summoned; most of them were calamity spirits, as he let them go on a rampage. Karan was the most excited as the red-skinned Orc got the chance to fight on a battlefield again. Even though it was a one-sided battle, he was still excited to be back on another battlefield. He said it was a warm-up before an actual war against the Nirvana Alliance.

The surprise attack and the sudden appearance of Behemoth and Wyvern plunged the camp into chaos. Instead of regrouping and trying to fight back, the Dominion’s soldiers spread out and tried to save their lives.

Amidst the chaos and fire, there was a group of people who did not panic. Tang Shaoyang saw them with his Chaos Eyes, and he was heading toward this group. They used the smoke to escape from his spirit, and his spirit was complacent and quite careless as they chased the fleeing soldiers.

“Why are you not helping our people!? You promised us that you would help us!” An angry voice entered Tang Shaoyang’s ears as he got closer to the group. A tiger beastmen was angry and pointing his finger at a lizardman with blue scales.

“Fighting those creatures is pointless. They are summons, and we need to find the summoner so we can get rid of all of them at once, rather than killing those summons one by one. Gather your people and search for the summoner instead,” The lizardmen sounded annoyed as well as he retorted the lion beastmen.

The lion beastmen were about to say something in return until they all noticed Tang Shaoyang’s presence, who got closer to them.

All of them turned toward Tang Shaoyang in surprise, “One of them found us!” The lizardmen muttered, thinking Tang Shaoyang was one of the spirits because he was in his bloodline transformation.

Tang Shaoyang scanned the group, eleven beastmen who were from various tribes. Even though they were in one group, it was easy to find who had the authority. The lion, the beastmen, and the lizardmen were the leaders of this group.

“Oh, he is not a summon! He is the summoner!” Another lizardman with a green scale called out. The remaining four lizardmen focused their gaze on Tang Shaoyang.

It had been a while since Tang Shaoyang had gotten this weird sensation when someone used Detection on him. His time in the tower, where he only interacts with people with no Detection skill. However, this sensation told him that the lizardmen were also players like him.

It seemed like he was not the only one who tried to clear the tower as fast as he could, but some factions did too.

Most of the factions that came to this tower used this tower as a training ground for their people. Not many factions took this level of tower to clear it or get the reward from the tower. This was a training ground for the big factions.

“Lizardmen, huh?” Tang Shaoyang muttered as he tried to recall the three worlds from the city, and there were no God Rank Lizardmen. Meaning these people came from other cities.

“He is our target. If you kill him, we can get rid of those annoying summons.” The lizardmen disregarded Tang Shaoyang completely, assuming Tang Shaoyang was just one of the natives from this floor.

“What are we waiting for? Kill him!” The lion beastmen ordered his people.

The beastmen that resembled a giant bear and a beast that resembled a resemblance of tiger rushed toward Tang Shaoyang. The tiger beastmen were clearly quicker than the bear, and their bodies split into seven figures. It was a perfect illusion because Tang Shaoyang could not tell which was the real one with his Chaos Eyes.

Tang Shaoyang bent his body forward slightly, pulling his sword back as the Heavenly Energy mixed with Chaos Energy covered his sword, which released a black-golden glow.

Heavenly Sword – Heaven Severing World

He swung the sword horizontally, releasing his energy in the form of a blade and cutting through everything in front of him within a radius of a thousand meters. The oblivious soldiers cut in two, along with the perfect illusion.

The real tiger beastmen jumped out to dodge the blade, but the bear beastmen was the unfortunate one because he failed to react. Meanwhile, the lizardmen with the blue scales made their move as well, forming a water wall that blocked the blade. His quick action saved the others as well.

“Garn!”

The tiger beastmen yelled out one he saw his friend was cut into two. He saw with his own eyes his four-meter-tall friend’ torso fall to the side.

The tiger beastmen wanted to save their friend, but he sensed danger from behind. He managed to turn around in the air, and he saw that Tang Shaoyang was behind him.

Tang Shaoyang’s sword was midway toward the tiger beastmen after he used Blink to appear behind the tiger beastmen. However, the beastmen managed to react in time and blocked the sword with their claw.

Clank!

The tiger beastmen’s claw was tough enough to block the sword, but could not block the power behind the sword. The tiger beastmen flew backward and crashed to the ground.

Tang Shaoyang pointed his sword to the sky as the Heavenly Energy and Chaos Energy gathered in his sword. The black and golden energy twirled at each other, but did not repel each other, and shot toward the sky.

Then, the night sky brightened by a ten-meter-long golden sword appeared at the exact location where the energy disappeared. It was not pure gold as there was something like a taint, a black taint flowed in the golden sword.

Tang Shaoyang swung his sword down, and the golden sword shot down toward where the tiger beastmen crashed.

At the same time, a lion’s roar resounded in the air as the lion beastmen moved toward where the tiger beastmen were. The lion beastmen stood before the golden sword and roared as he punched toward the sword. An image of a crimson lion roared appeared behind the beastmen. He punched the sword.

Boom!

The lion beastmen met with the golden sword with their bare hand and exploded. An explosion of energy swept a hundred-meter area as smoke rose, covering the lion beastmen. However, a fierce wind swept the smoke and revealed the lion beastmen’s condition.

The lion beastmen lost half of their body. He lost his right hand from his shoulder down to his waist. His organs were exposed as blood dripped crazily from his wound. However, the lion beastmen was alive.. He was still breathing, breathing heavily as he looked at the figure in the sky.

The lion beastmen achieved his goal, saving the tiger beastmen who lay on the ground behind him. As the lion beastmen were about to fall, the tiger beastmen got up and caught the lion beastmen.

“Are you stupid? Why are you risking your life for me!?” The tiger beastmen reprimanded the lion beastmen, even though he was still alive thanks to the lion beastmen.

“Shut up, Gunnar! Focus on the enemy while I am recovering—” The lion beastmen’s words cut off because his enemy appeared in front of him, five meters away from him.

“Run!” The lion beastmen pushed Gunnar as he gathered his energy in his left hand, “Regroup with the others and come back!”

“Admirable, but unfortunately, we are enemies!” Tang Shaoyang muttered as he truly admired what the lion beastmen did for his subordinates, but he was not going to let them escape, as a hundred Chaos Blades formed around the two beastmen.

“I can’t let you leave!”

A hundred Chaos Blades shot toward the two beastmen, and Gunnar, the tiger beastmen, did not try to leave. He tried to form an intricate barrier, for him and for the lion beastmen.

However, the moment the Chaos Blades touched the barrier. The barrier crumbled because Tang Shaoyang imbued Absolute Domination Energy, which destroyed the energy that had formed the barrier. The lion beastmen tried to get rid of the blades with his fist, but again, the energy crumbled. One hundred blades pierced the two beastmen.

The tiger beastmen died right away, but the lion beastmen was still alive for a moment. He fell on his knees, and he still looked at Tang Shaoyang.

“Who are you?” He asked with a hoarse voice, “Are you also a player like them?”

The lion beastmen did not get the answer as his eyes dimmed and his body flopped to the ground.

Tang Shaoyang heard the announcement, confirming the kill. He recalled Blaise Osmond telling him that the commander of the Dominion Army was a beastmen from a lion tribe. He shrugged and turned around.

“This is absurd! There’s no way someone this strong exists on this floor!” The lizardmen with the dominant green scales raised his voice in disbelief. They still thought Tang Shaoyang was a native of this floor.

“Let’s retreat and gather more people before attempting this floor again!” The lizardmen with dominant blue scales made a decisive decision. Just like that, the five beastmen disappeared as they returned to the lower floor, leaving the remaining God Rank beastmen at a loss.

The remaining four God Rank beastmen exchanged glances. They were in panic as they just lost their commander, and then their ally abandoned them. Even though they outnumbered their enemy, the five lizardmen chose to run away.
