"Gromtin, you and the rest should leave it in our hands," Mandrio, a Space-Time Realm expert of the Yokflou Sect, spoke this time. "I already sent most of my people out to look for any suspicious characters. You can just wait for the news."

The others knew that, so they had no intention of backing down and would even join forces if the Yokflou Sect truly tried to stop them from investigating what happened here. Yet, when the old demon beast entered the room, all their expressions changed, and respect took over. "Senior Carbiges."

Carbiges was a Divine Iron Beetle, obviously a Divine Demon Beast. But it wasn't what bothered the rest of the group. Instead, Carbiges was a member of the Inquisition Hall in the Divine Snow World. Most of the populace had no idea of what one could find outside the Divine Snow World, but how could these experts not? They knew about the Werdlem Empire and that the Inquisition Hall was their direct subordinate power.

Carbiges smiled, waving his hand as hundreds of experts at the void Tempering Realm and below appeared around him. "You all, spread and search every cranny of this city. There is a good chance the origin of this phenomenon is in this city. Report if you find anything suspicious."

"Yes, senior Carbiges!" The many members of the Inquisition Hall quickly left the building, spreading all over the city. They obviously joined the already thousands of more experts that the other powers also brought here.

Carbiges then turned to the other experts in there, smiling. "There is no need to be so cautious. As per the agreement, the Inquisition Hall will leave you all alone and pretend to be just another power of the Divine Snow World. If my guys find something, I will share it with you all as long as it can be shared. Just don't forget your positions. The Divine Snow World is a project of the Supreme Palace, and we are all part of it. You all understand, right?"

"Yes, senior Carbiges." The people there could only accept it, even though they didn't like that status.

Carbiges then looked at the City Lord. "So, what have you found regarding the citizens? Have your people seen anything different recently?"

The City Lord took a deep breath, having never interacted with so many high-level experts before, especially from the Inquisition Hall. "I already had my people look into it, and so far, only one thing stood out. This city received two ascenders, a pair of boys that tried to use the City Hall terminals to search about the Werdlem Empire."

"They weren't the only ones since we get around ten or so ascenders per year. We even got another one just a week ago, who we already captured and interrogated. This last one didn't know anything, and we used the contracts to make sure he was telling the truth. Going back to the pair I mentioned, they ascended together from the same place, seeming to be brothers, which never happened before. That's why we think they might have something to do with it."

Carbiges nodded. "Oh, that is quite rare. Naturally, you didn't let such targets leave your sight, right? Where are they now?"

"This..." The City Lord dropped his head. "Even though it hasn't happened before, we didn't put much thought into it. We simply told them the rules as we always do to any ascender and let them go. I told everyone about it, and even my people are looking for them at the moment. However, we truly have no idea where they went... or if they are even in this city still."

Carbiges narrowed his eyes, the room turning cold. Still, he quickly calmed down. "Mandrio, you better find a new City Lord that doesn't screw up like this later."

"I understand, senior Carbiges," Mandrio simply accepted.

Carbiges nodded and asked more. "What more do we know?"

Glantie, an expert of the Farviles Corporation, another one of the powers of the Divine Snow World, spoke from there. "We have our doubts whether the culprits are even still in the city or not. The city wasn't locked down straight away when the event took place. After all, no one knew what was happening, and many immediately ran away. We sent people after them, but there are just way too many..."

"I see." Carbiges didn't seem worried. "Don't worry; we can use the system to find all their locations. Just focus on all those who are new to the system. It will be simple."
