Chapter 3305: Only the Start

At first, Carbiges found a few new cultivators that had just been added to the system network. However, all of them were kids who had just received their Divine Werdlem Stones and started to cultivate recently in the city. Their families tried to escape the city when the phenomenon took place, and they obviously brought their families with them.

However, soon, those new to the system ended, and Carbiges couldn't find anyone else who had been added to it in less than a year. In fact, looking for those up to a year was already quite an arduous task. In a city with over 50 million inhabitants, even if you counted only those who tried to leave it, there were tens of thousands who had been added in that time span outside the city.

Carbiges started to get annoyed by the end, and finally, he lost his patience. "Imbeciles! How can they all be kids?! The City Lord could only apologize, even though he didn't think it was their fault. "Sir, we are just not good enough. We found everyone who had just been added to the system for up to a year, but those brothers weren't within them. There is a good chance they are still in the city... or teleported away using some method we couldn't verify."

Carbiges tried to calm down. "In the city? We have been combing the city nonstop. All anti- Divine Sense Formations were turned off, and my guys searched every corner. If they are still here, where are they?"

"This..." The City Lord couldn't give an answer.

"Sir," Paweria of the Iahussi Clan intervened. "We 'think' the reason for this phenomenon is here, but there is no guarantee that is the case to start with. The Inquisition Hall has access to a lot more information than we do. Was there ever such a phenomenon?"

Carbiges looked at the woman and shook his head. "At least it doesn't have any mentions in the Inquisition Hall's archives. If we use the entire Werdlem System to check the records of the entire Divine Realm or perhaps even other Universes, perhaps we can find something. Still, it would take some time."

"Could such a phenomenon happen naturally?" Glantie of the Farviles Corporation asked. "From what we heard, it was something related to the Yin and Yang, Dark and Light, that affected everyone. Could there have been perhaps some very specific conditions that triggered all of this?"

Carbiges narrowed his eyes, thinking about it. The Divine Realm alone was gigantic. If you took its entire extent, you would find records of many weird natural phenomena due to a plethora of reasons. The Divine Snow World alone would have quite a few of those, depending on how far back you look. "I can't deny the possibility. Still, the fact those two ascenders simply disappeared is bothering me."

"Continue the search," Carbiges ordered. "I will contact the headquarters and see if they can find anything related to what happened here."

Carbiges' initial idea was actually very good. Since Carbiges had focused on those who had just been added to the system in this region, he should have found Tanxan and the others. After all, they were all just recently added to the Werdlem Empire System with their new identities.

Yet, little did he know that Rean wasn't an idiot. It wasn't that Carbiges couldn't find Tanxan and the rest in the files, but that they weren't added as members of this region to start with. When Rean passed the new CDs that could slot those VS Devices, he gave them a quick guide to how they should add their information.

Part of the rule was that they shouldn't register their region in the same place. Instead, they should use other further away regions, preferably regions outside this continent. Only Rean and Roan truly added themselves as new inhabitants of this specific region since they had visited the City Hall and their presence was already known.

That means Carbiges knew that the twins' registration was within this region, so why would he look at records of new additions to other regions from other continents? The information the twins added to the system was right there for him to see.

Above all, no one believed it was possible to change one's Werdlem Stone Signature ID. The one the twins added to it was the one Carbiges focused on. Only those two IDs would ever be searched through the system and this region. So, thanks to this foresight, Rean prevented Tanxan and the others from being located, especially since they weren't the targets to start with.

The only thing Carbiges was right about was the fact the twins were indeed still in the city. It's just that they couldn't confirm it, and the twins' group had no intention of coming out of the Dimensional Realm anytime soon. Just like this, the city would be on lockdown for quite a while, but nothing would be found in the end.

Time passed, and inside the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm, a week went by.

With their joint effort, Rean, Roan, and Kentucky went from the Energy Gathering Realm Initial Stage all the way to the... no name realm!

Yes, it was a no-name realm because it didn't exist for the twins and Kentucky anymore. What was the second cultivation realm after Energy Gathering? Foundation Establishment! Where did the Foundation Establishment take place? Inside the Dantian! Rean and Roan didn't have Dantians anymore!

Kentucky was pretty much the same. He wasn't really a Stage Two Demon Beast at the moment since the Demon Beast Stages happened as the Core Evolved. Kentucky had no core, so how could he have any stage whatsoever?

Still, they had to refer to that second realm as something. That said, they made things simple. Sky Realms! First Sky Realm, Second Sky Realm, Third Sky Realm... so on and so forth. Obviously, it was due to the fact they needed Sky Energy. Right now, the twins and Kentucky had reached the Peak Stage of the Second Sky Realm and were ready to enter the Third. This was still only the start.
