GREED: ALL FOR WHAT?

Chapter 2164 - 2164: To The Death.

Silver Mirror’s eyes were misty as he said, “I ran into a gateway and sealed it from the other side so that you lamp bearers won’t be able to follow me through it. I was safe, but I might also have sealed the way for my sister to escape.”

He reached Clark and touched him on his shoulder. Clark didn’t try to resist because he knew that he wouldn’t be able to harm Silver Moon as long as he still had spiritual energy to use Phase Shift.

Seeing Clark being so obedient, Silver Mirror sighed and said, “I don’t know if my actions doomed her or not. But I do know that I survived. I survived to live another day. I survived to grow stronger, fight another day, bide my time, and finally have my revenge.”

Silver Mirror asked as he began to step back from Clark, “That day has come now. Do you see your error now?”

Clark didn’t let Silver Mirror. He took a step closer to Silver Mood so the two of them remained within arm’s length of each other.

Clark coughed and said, “I know. But some fights have to be had by standing one’s ground. I can’t run away from my sworn duty.”

As he said so, he took out two blades from his robes and hefted them in his hands. When Silver Mirror saw this, the leisurely look on his face disappeared. He frowned and stared deeply at Clark.

He didn’t want to show fear, so he said, “Make your move.”

Clark knew that Silver Mirror was trying to make him waste his spiritual energy again, but he had no choice in the matter.

Now that Silver Mirror has touched him, his fate is somewhat sealed. He has to do his best if he is going to have any chance of survival.

Besides, he doesn’t plan to survive this fight. So he grinned and said, “Don’t mind if I do.”

Then he slashed at Silver Mirror with the two blades. His actions were smooth and fast. Unfortunately, his blades passed through Silver Mirror’s body without stopping.

Silver Mirror also activated the mark that he had placed on Clark’s shoulder. This mark was a spatial mark used to mark a destination for an object that was teleported.

This spatial mark allows Walkers to attack enemies from long distances. They can actually attack anyone that they have marked from anywhere in the world as long as there are no spatial obstacles to block the mark.

Now that Clark had been marked, there was no way he could escape from Silver Mirror. All Silver Mirror needs to do is create some distance between the two of them and take advantage of the spatial mark from a safe and long distance.

Clark knew this, which is why he didn’t let Silver Mirror go. He couldn’t stop Silver Mirror from marking him, but he wasn’t about to let Silver Mirror leave after marking him.

Silver Mirror activated the spatial mark and sent the shards of broken mirrors from his robe towards the mark.

The shards left his hand and struck Clark’s shoulders immediately. They cut Clark, but they didn’t cut him deeply.

At least one shard wasn’t enough to injure Clark seriously. So Silver Mirror recovered the shards and sent them back to attack Clark.

The process of sending them out to attack, retrieving them, and then sending them back again to attack made the attack seem endless. Endless mirror shards struck Clark in the same spot.

Each shard could only create a little damage. But when an endless amount of them cut the same spot again and again, the injury will widen and cause it to aggravate.

This was a combination attack created by using the rank 2 Spatial Mark divine ability and the rank 3 Spatial Attack ability. Spatial mark divine ability is used to set the destination while Spatial Attack is used to send the attack.

This was an attack that Clark couldn’t dodge. If he gives Silver Mirror time, he will be cut in half eventually. So he left his blades within Silver Mirror while he embraced Silver Mirror and began punching him all over.

The barrage of attacks meant that Silver Mirror couldn’t selectively choose to phase shift his body. He had to phase shift a large portion of his body in order to protect himself.

Using the rank 4 divine ability on a large area of his body means that it will be very expensive to use. Clark is hoping that Silver Mirror will run out of spiritual energy before he dies.

Silver Mirror realized that the situation was bad for him. He couldn’t step away from Clark, so he could only go all out in hopes of ending the fight early.

So Silver Mirror grabbed Clark and began marking him all over his body. Then he made the mirror shards shuttle through Clark’s body back and forth.

The two of them exchanged life-threatening injuries without a care in the world. As epic beings with incredible vitality, it would take a lot to kill them. So the two of them didn’t die quickly. They had a lot of time to injure each other.

Clark wasn’t using any spiritual energy in this part of the fight. All he relied on was his brute force and skill.

No matter how injured he became, he held down Silver Mirror and prevented him from escaping while punching him.

Silver Mirror was still using spiritual energy and a lot of it. So he ran out of spiritual energy after three more seconds of this stalemate.

The lack of spiritual energy meant that he couldn’t use his spatial attacks and phase shift anymore. The two blades stuck in his body began to injure him. The fear of death bloomed in his heart immediately.

If Clark had more strength and hadn’t had his body torn into a bloody rag, he would have been able to grab the blades and separate Silver Mirror into at least two portions.
