Chapter 478: “Greatest” Lizard Army!

“ROOOOOOAARRRRRRRR!”

They felt like beasts.

And as they did, a certain 12th Legion awoke, but they were different. They had seen the same chaotic dream, and they, too, had resisted it just like him!

At a loss, their heart bled as they gazed at the enemies. It was clear that a clash was unavoidable. With this, they resolved themselves to die.

Looking at their brave stance, Jack couldn’t help but feel touched. Actually, who needed 1300 lizards? Those 30 lizards were more courageous than a million men!

Then with a commandeering wave, he sent his legions of undead to wipe the floor with the corrupted dumbasses. So what if they raged? Rage this skeletal fist in your ass!

Standing above the battlefield, Jack cackled non-stop like a true evil deity.

And just as his undead were about to land the killing blows…

Lots and lots of roars resounded, but this time, it wasn’t the corrupted lizards. No, this time it was ALL the monsters that had originally been in this realm.

Mid lizardgeddon most had actually gone into hiding. After all, there had been deadly alliances roaming about! But now they had no choice but to come out.

In fact, they were being herded over by Dullahan undead!

Between getting slaughtered by weird undead and running at corrupted but regular lizards, the choice wasn’t hard! At least the latter smelled of food, not death!

And that’s when began an utter massacre. There was absolutely no pity for the weak-willed corrupted lizards as they were torn apart.

As for the undead, the 12th Legion, and Jack, they kept their distances! At that moment, he was brilliantly playing innocent as if a mere spectator.

“Wow. Those monsters sure are hungry!”

“Wow­. Did you see that flying head?”

“Wow. They’re skilled at dying!”

The more he praised, the weirder it felt. What kind of devil was he? And at the same time, a certain entity in a dark realm began despairing. Its slaves kept dying.

KACHA! KACHA! KACHA! Their souls were disappearing…

It seemed like a few lizards who had been in the process of being corrupted suddenly woke up utterly confused, only to hear endless cheers, their gaze turning to Jack.

He should have been celebrating or, at the very least, rejoicing, but he wasn’t. No, his gaze seemed stuck on the previous battlefield with shock. Was that what he thought it was?!

That’s when a certain dark being gave the order…

All of sudden, all the souls that had been “vanquished” suddenly crowded together into a formless, invisible, and incredibly deadly cloud. It almost looked like a battleship!

Then the thing powerfully moved, right toward the white lizard!

They would all attack at once, all using possession on him at the same time, either breaking his soul directly or severely wounding him at the very least.

This was a foolproof and undetectable plan!

The souls rushed at him and then—

“Well, brb! Going on a walk!”

As Jack suddenly started running away, everyone was baffled. What was up with him?! And as he shouted something about enjoying a run after a victory, they felt it was… odd.

But so what? It wasn’t like he wasn’t allowed to roam freely, either. They simply waved him goodbye, even as they were perplexed. But soon, it got weirder.

Jack ran. Then walked. Then ran. Then walked.

Hell, at times, he was even stopping in place, seemingly to catch his breath. Was his physical condition that bad? It couldn’t be, right? But little did they know, he was toying with souls.

The deadly soul-possession attack? He could LITERALLY see it!

To him, it glowed brighter than a lighthouse, all thanks to his new passive. And soon enough, he ran long enough for the chasing souls to weaken, and even disappear for real.

With this, a certain “scheming” deity suddenly felt really dumb, not that Jack would care. Instead, he glanced at the Mana still remaining in the realm.

The gate back was about to open. He had to absorb as much Mana as possible before that. And that’s when he once again started glowing like a goddamn beacon.

There was so much Mana gathering toward him that it looked otherworldly. And on his face had just appeared a VERY scheming grin. How much Mana could he smuggle out?

He couldn’t wait to find the answer. Thus, he got to work, all until the very last moment, as if the biggest Mana junkie! But soon…

It was time to return. And as he stepped through the ginormous glowing exit portal, clearly made for MANY Legions, he couldn’t help but chuckle a bit.

He could already faintly see the welcoming party on the other side, but most importantly, he couldn’t wait to see their reaction.

They sure would be shocked…
