MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith
Chapter 1294: Choosing a Class (2)Ding!
Please select the class you would like to take as your Rank 1 class:
Emissary of the Arcane (Mythic — Growth)
Agent of the Arcane (Legendary — Growth)
Embodiment of Mana (Mythic)
True Prodigious Mage (Mythic)
Supreme Mana Elementalist (Mythic)
Grand Archmagus (Mythic)
…"…Well, damn." Sucking in a cold breath of air as he looked at the classes available for him to choose from, Valyr’s eyes slightly widened in surprise after seeing how many Mythic classes had appeared as a possible choice.
Deciding to scroll down the list out of curiosity, the young man was soon greeted by a far longer list of Legendary classes, prompting him to shift his attention back to the top few classes the system had picked out for him.
"I already know what I’m going to pick," murmured the young man with a slightly wry smile as he briefly glanced at the first class on the list. "But I’m surprised that True Prodigious Mage isn’t the best choice I have."
Although the class was somewhat lackluster in comparison to something like Embodiment of Mana, the True Prodigious Mage class was still a strong mage class many players sought to obtain, with its requirements more or less similar to what he needed to become a True Prodigious Blacksmith.
In fact, out of all the Mythic classes that were available for a player to obtain, those that began with the words ’True Prodigious’ had the easiest requirements to fulfill among them.
Then again, with his current qualifications being way beyond what was necessary to unlock such a class, it was no surprise that the system had given him better options than the True Prodigious Mage class.
If anything, the top three classes on his list gave him access to skills that would normally need someone with the True Prodigious Mage class to first ascend to Rank 6 in order to unlock.
"It’s definitely a no-brainer, then." Considering that only two of his top choices had the Growth attribute to it, just like with his species, Valyr went ahead and made what he considered to be the most obvious choice.
"…But it does make me quite curious, though."
"What does it mean to be an Emissary of the Arcane, exactly?"
With the question lingering in his mind, the young man soon felt him be enveloped by a massive wave of iridescent energy, only to then fall unconscious a few seconds later.
…
"…Damn."
"Is he not going to pick up?"
Placing his phone near his ear for the nth time, Thomas could not help but let out an exasperated sigh as he waited for the person on the other side to respond.
Receiving no response from the other side even after waiting for a minute, the man let out yet another sigh as he decided to give up, placing his phone on the side of his laptop as he looked at the two people on his screen.
"Looks like Valyr still isn’t picking up," said Thomas with a slightly wry smile, his expression containing slight guilt.
"Sorry for getting your hopes up, Meria. Lucques."
"Don’t mind it too much, Thomas," replied the brown-haired woman on the screen as she waved her hands with a slightly apologetic smile. "If anything, we’re the ones who should be sorry for taking up your time."
"Yeah." The green-eyed man on the screen nodded in agreement. "We were planning to ask Valyr directly about what you told us, but he hasn’t even read any of the messages we sent these past couple of days."
"Do you perhaps know what he’s doing at the moment?" asked Meria, with Lucques looking at him with slight curiosity.
"Well…" Taking in a deep breath to compose himself, Thomas briefly scratched his cheek as he let out a slightly awkward chuckle.
"He’s still playing Greater Beyond." Your journey continues at empire
"Still?" Lucques looked at him with slight incredulity. "You’re telling me that he’s still playing the game right now?"
"He’s been playing the game for at least an entire day by now," clarified Thomas, causing the two to look back at him in shock. "Though, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’d be playing for far longer than that."
"What’s caused him to play Greater Beyond for that long, though?" asked Meria, to which Lucques and Thomas shrugged their shoulders in response.
"Well, whatever his reason may be, I’m sure he won’t play Greater Beyond any longer than two days, right?"
"…"
"…Right?"
…
"Your Excellency! Your Excellency!"
Running through a corridor lined with marble pillars, a silver-haired man in starry blue robes made his way to the door at the end of the corridor, slamming it open with a wide grin on his face.
However, that grin immediately disappeared the moment he realized what he just did, only for his complexion to then turn pale as the old man already in the room looked at him with great annoyance.
"I suppose you have a good reason for doing this, Director Mansha?" said the old man to the silver-haired man, his tone low enough to bring chills to one’s spine.
"I…" Feeling embarrassment from what he had done, the man named Mansha took a bit of time to regain his lost bearings. "I… have a piece of news that would… pique the Excellency’s interest."
"Does it warrant slamming the door to my room open?" asked the old man in response, which only brought further chills to Mansha’s back.
"I… I believe so," replied Mansha after mustering enough courage.
Seeing that the old man now began to look at him in interest because of his words, the silver-haired man inwardly let out a sigh of relief as he told the former the reason for his initial excitement.
"We’re still in the process of confirming it… but I think another Emissary of the Arcane has awakened within our universe."
"…An Emissary of the Arcane, you say?" Hearing those words, the old man’s eyes began to gleam as the annoyance he had from earlier completely disappeared. "Are you sure it’s not just an Agent or a Messenger of the Arcane?"
"It is not." Mansha shook his head. "We have thoroughly confirmed that the being we discovered is indeed an Emissary of the Arcane."
"Do we know where this being is located?" asked the old man in response as he took out a simple magic staff.
"We’ve pinpointed the being’s traces down to the Zetaris Galaxy," replied Mansha, prompting the old man to nod as he began to wave the magic staff around.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
As the end of the magic staff began to glow a faint light blue, the old man closed his eyes for a bit, only for a rare smile to adorn his face the moment he opened his eyes.
"It really is an Emissary of the Arcane," said the old man as he let out a faint chuckle.
"To think there would eventually come a day in my life where a new Emissary of the Arcane would finally appear within our universe."
"Five eons. I have waited five eons just for this very moment."
"…Mansha."
"…Yes?" Still left at a loss for words at the old man’s sudden change in expression, it took a while for the man to respond to his call.
"Have one of our reconnaissance teams keep an eye on this being from afar." Fortunately, the old man did not seem to mind amidst his excitement. "Have them collect as much information on the being as possible using all the means they have at their disposal."
"Understood," replied Mansha, understanding that the old man was now giving him a signal to leave.
"Five eons." Watching Mansha’s silhouette disappear from his field of vision, the old man soon shifted his gaze towards the large window to his side, glancing at the dark sky dotted with various stars and galaxies.
"I’ve done everything to make sure that the Arcane Consortium would remain standing until another Emissary appears."
"And now that the Emissary I’ve been waiting for has finally appeared…"
"It’s time for the Arcane Consortium to make its presence known again."
