MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 1505 - 1505: Myriad Prodigies: Outburst

‘What should we do…?’

Putting Erika at a stalemate by accompanying Julian’s attack with an attack of his own, Valyr could not help but feel a sense of despair creep up within him.

Although the entire fight so far had resulted in them landing many attacks on her, that still could not remove the fact that they were pretty much fighting against a Myth-level being.

With that being said, unless their attacks dealt a catastrophic amount of damage to her where it would take her from full health to zero in an instant, she would be able to heal all of it back with due time.

Naturally, that thought was the reason why the three arbiters continued to attack one after the other, giving Erika no opportunity to recover even a bit of her health before a powerful attack landed on her once more.

Then again, with all of them being forced to unleash the stronger attacks in their arsenal to maintain an edge over her, he knew that there would eventually come a tipping point where Erika would be the one having an edge over them.

‘There’s the option of overwhelming her to the point of instilling fear within her,’ thought the young man, continuing to put a bit more pressure behind his attack as he watched Julian put more strength behind his grip.

‘However, since I’ve already used that tactic against her during our fight in the underground floors, I’m pretty sure she’s prepared for such a scenario to happen,’ he muttered to himself, a myriad number of thoughts on the matter beginning to linger in his mind.

Having already fought a Vessel of Envy before fighting against Erika, Valyr already knew that there wasn’t any feasible way for him to defeat a Myth at his current rank.

After all, for a Myth to truly be defeated, the one fighting the Myth would have to be a Myth themselves before being able to do so.

Because of that, the young man was only able to overwhelm the two beings from the Underworld with his strength at most, with one of them even going so far as to tap into more of their power because of the fear they felt from him.

‘Should I use the final request Vaughn gave me?’ asked Valyr to himself inwardly, weighing the pros and cons of such a decision as he and Julian continued to put pressure on Erika.

Though, just as he was on the edge of making a decision…

Puchi!

A sharp blade cleanly cut through Erika’s neck all of a sudden, immediately rendering the resistance behind both of their attacks negligible.

Although both he and Julian were bewildered as to who would take advantage of such a perilous opportunity, the two did not hesitate to double down on their respective attacks, with Valyr allowing Julian’s hammer to land on Erika’s body first before following it up with his meteor.

Bang!

In response, the two formed a massive crater on the amphitheater, kicking up a great amount of dust in the area that took a bit of time to subside.

“…” Glancing at the feat both he and Julian had achieved, Valyr remained silent as he looked at the three arbiters with confusion, wondering who among them would be courageous enough to put themselves at harm’s way at that moment.

Yet, no matter how much they looked at one another, no answer was given to this thought whatsoever.

No answer… until another person appeared.

“My apologies.”

Wielding a thin blade covered in dark blood, Lunarossa shook the blood of her blade as she walked up to the four with a slight smile.

“Took a while to finally evacuate all the audience out of the amphitheater.”

“You…” Looking at the blade the director was wielding, it did not take long for Valyr to figure out what was going on, causing him to look at her with his mouth agape in shock.

“What?” Lunarossa laughed at the young man’s reaction, only to notice the surprise also written on the three arbiters’ faces soon after. “Is it really that surprising?”

“Well…” Feeling a hint of embarrassment from having their minds effectively read, the four merely flashed bitter smiles back at her in response, easily allowing her to get an idea of how they perceived her during the tournament.

Fortunately, considering her actions throughout the entire tournament so far, Lunarossa wasn’t surprised that the four were led to perceive her that way.

After all, as a descendant of Meltierre Empire’s ruler, wouldn’t it make sense for her to be more well-versed in management? Especially with the number of people participating in the tournament surpassing over a hundred thousand?

Rumble…

“…What’s the plan?” Deciding to end her previous train of thought there for the meantime, Lunarossa looked at the four with a serious expression the moment she felt the ground quake around where Erika previously stood.

Hearing those words, Julian and the other two immediately looked at Valyr, who looked back at the three in response before shifting his gaze towards Lunarossa.

Then, taking in a deep breath, he flashed a wry smile.

“Honestly, I don’t know either,” responded Valyr with confidence, causing the four’s image of the young man to falter within their minds.

You’re the guy everyone knows as the Mythslayer! You’re known for killing Myth-level beings while still being at a lower rank! Surely you’d have a way to defeat a Myth-level being, no?!

“…If it was a normal Myth-level being, then even I would be able to handle it on my own,” said the young man after a bit of silence, getting an idea as to what the four were thinking in response to his previous words.

“However, you’re forgetting one crucial detail,” he continued, his expression solemn. “Not only is she a member of the Crimson Cathedral, but keep in mind that she’s also a Lesser Sin of the Underworld.”

“And I’m sure some of you know how truly strong the members of the Underworld are.”

Hearing those words, Lunarossa slightly paled as she looked back at Valyr. “You’re telling me… what we’ve been fighting so far… isn’t even her full strength yet…?”

“It’s not.” Amidst the pale complexions of the three arbiters, Valyr agreed with the director’s words.

“What we’ve only fought against so far is still her weakest form.”

Bang!

Sending both the hammer and the meteor flying high up in the sky, Erika gradually stood up from the center of the massive crater she was in, forcing Julian and Valyr to dispel their respective attacks as the five watched her in silence.

“You dare…” Glaring at the five with immense hatred, Erika allowed the severe injuries on her body to heal as she flared her aura at them.

“You dare stop me?!”

Bang!

At the moment all of her injuries were visibly healed, the aura the woman let out underwent a massive increase in pressure, causing the five to immediately pale as they instinctively felt the urge to kneel in front of her.

Of course, that urge didn’t come from the fact that she was a Myth.

If anything… it was because her current strength was now beyond them many times over.
