Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 497 - 497: Visiting the Silver Leaf Auction House

The moment Kent and Vexthra arrived at the entrance of the Silver Leaf Auction House, the guards stopped them.

Kent knew they wouldn’t recognize him, considering his appearance had changed. They wouldn’t dare stop him if he were to be in his true appearance.

“State your business,” one of the guards said. Today wasn’t an auction day, considering Lady Lani hadn’t been seen in a while, so visiting wasn’t ideal.

However, Kent didn’t take offense at the rude tone the guard used. After all, he was just doing his job.

“I have business with the auction master,” Kent responded.

Hearing him say that, the guards became hesitant. The mention of the auction master made them take a step back. Making the wrong move could cost them their job, so they had to tread carefully.

“Do you have any proof to show you indeed have business with the auction master?” one of the guards asked, making Kent smile.

He had already expected this, but in the spirit of spending time with Vexthra, he chose to enter the normal way.

He could have teleported inside, considering he had markers all over VIP Room 13.

However, he was only doing this because Vexthra wanted to feel like she was back to her old self. She wanted to feel like herself millions of years ago, when she was just a flame demon mortal.

So Kent didn’t want to deny her every small detail mere mortals like him would have to deal with.

“Do you know what this is?” Kent asked, taking out a dark-gold apple from his space ring.

“This is the dark-gold rank ambrosia apple. In case you haven’t heard of it, then know it’s something kings would go to war over.” Kent chuckled, making Vexthra giggle.

“Now, do you still want to keep me waiting outside, or should I shout for your boss to hear me?” The guards most certainly didn’t want that, so they made way for the brat to enter.

Looking at how he was dressed and the lady standing beside him, it didn’t take a genius to know they were some wealthy people here on business.

“Let’s go, milady.” Kent took Vexthra’s hand, and they walked into the auction house. The moment they entered, a lady Kent had seen on multiple occasions approached them.

She was the sales lady who handled most of his items during the annual auction.

“Welcome to the Silver Leaf Auction House. How may we be of help today?” Her tone was polite and well-tuned for someone who was meant to handle the rich and wealthy.

“Lady Lani sent us,” Kent said, making Vexthra turn and look at him. She wanted to ask, really, but she decided to go with the flow.

Lady Lani had the faintest idea he was currently using her name in her own organization.

“Kindly follow me,” the lady said as she started walking to her office a couple of steps away.

Kent and Vexthra began following her in. Along the way, Vexthra tapped Kent’s shoulder, but the brat didn’t mind her and just kept walking.

This caused Vexthra to giggle, knowing her mischief was caught by Kent from a mile away. He knew she wanted him to notice the lady walking in front of them, but Kent didn’t fall for that.

A few seconds later, they entered the office and sat down.

“Do you know where my lady is? She has vanished for a while now without any message. It’s unlike her.”

While she said it was unlike her, she was just being concerned. Over the past years, Lady Lani had vanished for months, sometimes even a year, so showing concern after she disappeared for a couple of weeks was just her being a concerned manager.

“She is fine.” Vexthra decided to get involved, considering this was her chance to feel more mortal.

“She is in seclusion, so she won’t be back for a while,” she added.

The lady nodded. “In that case, why did my lady send you?” she asked.

In response, Kent retrieved a space ring and handed it over to her.

“She said she wouldn’t be back for a while, perhaps a couple of years, so she wants you to handle these items. It contains enough to keep the auction house afloat for a while.

She said you shouldn’t sell everything at once. Use it to keep the auction house afloat until she returns.”

The lady didn’t want to argue about it, so she stored the ring and thanked them.

“If possible, please tell my lady we miss her.”

Kent just smiled. “We will tell her.”

He only came there to ensure Lady Lani’s auction houses kept running while she was away. This was why he spent 20 million tower points to get all these items for them.

In the coming years, the four kingdoms will have some of the wildest and perhaps rarest treasures auctioned. Kent made sure of that.

After a few minutes, they left the auction house and headed to where he had wanted to go.

The Alchemist Dream.

One of the biggest hubs for alchemy equipment in the four kingdoms. Since he was now a Pill Grandmaster, he wanted to buy ingredients he could use to practice.

He had attained perfect purity for Tier 3 pills, but now has to handle Tier 4 and 5, which in this case means he must enhance his techniques.

Thankfully, he had them and more than enough money to buy herbs for practice.

Once he gets the hang of it, he will try and complete some of the requirements to become a Pill Saint.

He also had plans to sell some of his pills, which would earn him more recognition—something all alchemists wanted.

Though his name was already known as the Perfect Alchemist, it would just be a name without his pills circulating in the system.

The moment people start fighting over his pills, his name as an alchemist will begin to spread.

“The last time I was here, some brat with a badge tried to overestimate her authority,” Kent said, riding in the carriage with Vexthra as they headed toward the Alchemist Dream.

“Was she the disciple of the Wicked Poison Witch?” Vexthra asked, causing Kent to shake his head.

“So they told you about her, too.”

“Yes. Unlike you, my sisters don’t keep secrets from me,” Vexthra said, and Kent smiled.

“There is nothing to tell. I sensed she had poison in her blood, so I helped her and let her go. She didn’t offend me, so I had no reason to go after her. Plus, she even offered to become my servant, but I let her go for now,” Kent answered, and Vexthra just chuckled.

“Do you even know who she is?” Vexthra asked.

“Of course. While on the surface, she appears to be the Wicked Poison Witch, her background is actually very deep. I have a feeling we’ll learn more about her soon.”

“I only hope nothing happens to her before she can come serve you. We wouldn’t want a potential sister getting hurt.”

Vexthra giggled again, but this time, she didn’t let Kent say anything and just locked lips with him, jumping onto his lap.

Soon, they arrived at the Alchemist Dream and entered after Kent bribed the guards again, like he did the first time he came there.
