Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 740 - 740: First Chess Piece, Moved [Bonus]

[Three days after the competition – Elvin Kingdom: Sylveria]

The looks of shock, anger, and jealousy painted the faces of the Elvin Queen and her elders like makeup. The past three days had been the worst for them and perhaps everyone.

It was as if one day they were on top, and the next second, they were at the bottom with no means or capability to ever rise back up again.

During the competition in Elarion, when Lord Yael announced the various rewards to be given to all participants, the spies hidden among the Half-Elves reported to their respective leaders.

The Elves were struck hard the moment they heard the unbelievable load of treasures the Half-Elves were giving away to mere warriors who hadn’t even reached the peak.

At first, they thought it was merely a bluff, but after the first round, when the 1,000-year-old Soul Cleansing Berry was given, they realized something wasn’t right.

Then the second round ended, and more reports came. After the third round, they knew things hadn’t been a bluff, that the Half-Elves truly had the means to give these rewards to their people.

What shocked them the most were the Spirit Grapefruit and the Ambrosia apple.

It struck them hard, making them realize soon that the Half-Elves would surpass them. And from what Lady Aelith and General Dalion had already said to them, the Elves started to panic.

It had been three days, but they still hadn’t come to terms with the news they got from their spies.

“From a 1,000-year-old Soul Cleansing Berry to a 10,000-year-old Spirit Grapefruit, then Ambrosia Apples, and if that wasn’t enough, they have to add a Tier 8 Innate Talent Awakening Pill.

I mean, what happened? What changed? What happened to the weaklings? We were buying them enough time before we took them down. How come they get to have all this, and even at this rate, have the means to surpass even us?”

Lord Arlen said, clenching his fist like a madman.

“Let’s not forget she is also back… their queen. I think I don’t have to point out what she is capable of,” Lord Folwin added, looking even angrier than Lord Arlen.

“You don’t think they lied to us? We were there when Kenji attacked and saw her fall. So what happened? Had she recovered long ago and chosen to hide from everyone, planning and plotting for when she reveals herself?

I mean, look at the timeline: she woke up the day the human named Kent appeared.

That same day, he killed Kenji, the cause of her pain, and then a day later, they announced these ridiculous treasures that I don’t think even the Supreme Immortal sect will have a fraction of.

Where did they get them from?”

Queen Lunara sat calmly on her throne, but inwardly, she was seething.

While things could have been worse had the Half-Elves enticed the other races to aid them in attacking the Elves, the Half-Elves had become brilliant.

They spread the word throughout the entire world of their capabilities and where they stood now and then, announcing an alliance with the Bloodvein and inviting all races, including the Elves, to an auction in a month.

Things could have been worse, but now, it had become grim.

Queen Elanara knew deep within what the Half-Elves were doing. First, they would limit the quantity they had, then use conditions to sell the rest.

It would have been best if they sold everything at once, but the plan they’d devised would prevent the Elves from buying everything; they would pique everyone’s interest, then ensure everyone understood who was in charge.

The Half-Elves were winning, and soon, it would become clear to everyone.

“Lord Arlen, send people to Elarion. Tell them we would like to have a sit-down with them and talk things out,” Queen Elanara said, and Lord Arlen nodded.

A few minutes later, five people, including Lord Arlen, left their kingdom and headed to Elarion, where they planned to carry out their queen’s orders.

Meanwhile, on the continents, when news of how the Half-Elves flaunted their wealth reached them, just like the Elves, they were shocked, wondering what had happened.

Then news of Kent Madson appearing in the Half-Elves’ kingdom also reached them, causing those in league with the Hand to start making plans to kill him.

However, that all changed when they again heard that Kent Madson had killed Kenji, popularly known as the Blade Whisperer.

They all realized things weren’t as simple as they thought. So they relaxed and sent spies to gather more info on him.

However, a few hours later, they received word that in a month, there would be an auction in the Half-Elves’ kingdom. This news came as a shock to them, considering some of the items they would allegedly sell there were truly out of this world.

So be it—the Dragons, the Elves, the Demons, the Beasts, or even the Dwarves—every last one of them had started preparing for the auction.

They, just like the Elves, looked down on the Half-Elves mainly because the Half-Elves have the blood of humans flowing through them.

To them, humans are at the bottom of the food chain, so they don’t place value on a race that has human blood flowing through them.

However, it now appears that the race they had looked down on now had the means to rule the world. This prompted them to start wondering if things were as simple as they seemed.

They would most definitely want to use this opportunity to establish and perhaps further develop the relationship they never had with the Half-Elves.

In the end, the goal was to obtain the treasures that the Half-Elves possess. The allure of having the resources of the Half-Elves would compel them to go the extra mile.

But then again, that was precisely what the Half-Elves were after.

They wanted them to get enticed, and when they reached the point of no return, the Half-Elves would let them know being part human isn’t exactly evil… after all, humans are natural schemers.
