Chapter 814: Kent Madson
[Supreme Immortal Sect – Outer Section – Grand Hall: Supreme Elder Jian’s POV]
Just a couple of hours ago, Supreme Elder Jian had figured everything out.
He saw a path forward that, in a few hours, would secure him another run at carrying out his corruption ring that he had been running for the past 17 thousand years.
It was a close call, but he ultimately prevailed.
He and his corrupted elders had finally escaped all forms of scrutiny that would have come from the higher-ups, especially Supreme Elder Espen, one of the righteous and dedicated elders in the sect.
However, that all came crashing down when a sudden rumor, seemingly out of nowhere, started spreading.
It moved through the cracks and, before they could put a stop to it, it had already seeped into the running river, taking it away and spreading it everywhere.
Within an hour, almost everyone had heard and seen the circulating video. The name Kent Madson has reached every ear and every tongue that has said it.
Supreme Elder Jian held the recording in his hand, anger etched on his face. “Who was responsible for this?” he asked, his tone cold like ice.
The elders sitting in the same hall looked at each other, but couldn’t tell who was responsible. They knew they weren’t the ones responsible, and thinking about it, they knew Elder Lance wasn’t accountable either, for he had more to lose.
This then sparked the debate about who was the root cause of this problem.
Of course, it could have been solved had they paid more attention to Sonox. They would have known that Elder Lance wasn’t the only one who went to Sonox the last time.
He went with two disciples, and one of them was the cause of this. But due to their own negligence, they now found themselves in hot soup.
“The only way out now is to push the blame. We must place the blame on Elder Lance. He must take the fall, and knowing we have our foot on the neck of his people, he will read the situation the moment he returns and comply.
“He has so much to lose, so we should use that weakness to make him take the fall,” Elder Ester said, her tone cold like the Dark Elf she is.
“Elder Ester is right, we have to make that lowlife take the fall. Though we will be losing a huge business after this, we will at least be able to keep our lives and jobs.”
“I support this plan also. Let’s make him take the fall.”
With that, the elders agreed to throw Elder Lance under the bus, and, knowing the control they have, they were confident in their plans.

[Supreme Immortal Sect – Core Region. Pill Princess POV]
Inside a neat pill room featuring shelves lined with the finest pill bottles and some herbs sat a beauty worthy of her name.
By all standards, she was a lady that many men would kill to have. She was tall and elegant with emerald green eyes and waist-length silver-blonde hair.
Her long ears extended cutely, seeking all the attention they could have.
She was clad in a flowing green robe etched with ancient alchemical runes, highlighting her alchemy side, as did every other alchemy disciple.
However, while most wore the standard-issue sect robes, hers was specially made, crafted in a design that suited her alone.
She was the Pill Princess, the pride and joy of the Alchemy faction in the sect, and one of the five seeded candidates for the upcoming Interplanetary Sect competition.
In her hand, she held a recording crystal, one showing the display board of the just-ended Flame Tower Trial. She received it five minutes ago, and from the expression on her face, it was clear she wasn’t happy.
It was one thing to reach the 4th floor and another to learn multiple Mythic-grade Flame arts and then climb to the fifth, doing even worse.
Previously, she held the top ranking in the Flame Tower trial. However, not only have some unknown competitors shattered her records, but they have also far surpassed her.
And then there is Kent, who doesn’t make sense to anyone who saw his name.
“Kent Madson.”
Her fist clenched as she said that name.

[The Ice Maiden’s POV]
In the Supreme Immortal Sect, if there is a Pill Princess, then there has to be an Ice Maiden. Thankfully, they have both, and this one is true to her name.
She is a pale-skinned beauty with long, icy blue hair that cascades to her hips.
If one doesn’t know better and looks into her frosted silver eyes, their hearts might freeze—not out of love, but out of shock, one that captures their very being.
She is seated inside a cave of ice, one that has frozen the 10 kilometers around it, clad only in her crystalline ice armor, which glows faintly.
In her hand is also a recording crystal showing what the Pill Princess had seen.
A faint smirk appeared on her lips. “She must be pissed by now. Haha, this is good. Kent Madson has done well. I will be sure to reward him when he gets here.”
Her laughter, one that continues to spread the ice all over, rang out as she looked at the recording.
As a rival of the Pill Princess—who can also be called the Flame Princess thanks to her mastery of the flame—this display board had given something to tease her with.
It’s a happy day for her, unlike the Pill Princess, who wore a frown and seethed inwardly.

[The One-Eyed Demon Spawn’s POV]
Sitting atop a raised platform, a primal aura—one earned through slaughter and bloodshed—a broad-shouldered and towering young man with black hair streaked red sat, holding a recording crystal in his hand.
A spiked eyepatch covers his right eye, while his left eye burns scarlet.
Horns twist faintly above his forehead, giving him that terrifying look, one that will shake the heart of his opponent before he draws his sword.
He is the One-Eyed Demon Spawn, son of the Blood Berserker King from planet Netherkar. Among the five seeded core disciples, he can be likened to the most destructive and bloodthirsty.
“Kent Madson, huh. I suppose I will meet you soon and see if you are worthy to wield divine-grade techniques.”

[The Arrogant Crystal Dragon Prince’s POV]
Perhaps the one more pissed than the Pill Princess is the Crystal Dragon Prince, the gifted first son of the Crystal Dragon race and the sole reason the Crystal Dragons are the leaders of the dragon race.
He is naturally gifted, perhaps even stronger and deadlier than Kent, but his arrogance made him disliked and hated by all.
However, he doesn’t care and always makes sure people know that. But today, he received the most heartbreaking news.
Someone more impressive than him, back when he joined the sect, is on his way, and that pisses him off.
“Kent Madson.” His fist clenched, teeth gritting as he looked at the ranking like everyone else.
—
[The Venom King’s POV]
His dwelling is a cave filled with misty poison. Nobody aside from his right hand can enter, and he cannot stay more than a minute, or he will drop dead.
They called him the Venom King, and as most refer to him, the most dangerous among the five-seeded core disciples.
He is dangerous by all standards, and at the moment, he was observing the name everyone had heard and would forever hold in their hearts.
“Kent Madson.” An evil smile appeared on his face as he read the name.
