Chapter 816: Arriving at The SectChapter 816: Arriving at The Sect
[Supreme Immortal Sect – Outside the Main Gate – Exams Area]
The doors of the Supreme Immortal Sect are open to many worlds.
Every three years, they accept disciples from all kinds of worlds, including non-Alliance worlds. Of course, while the Alliance is made up of 64 worlds, some worlds have yet to join the Alliance.
They have all been extended some form of goodwill in hopes of gaining good seeds from them. Some have produced good ones, while others are just too trashy to make any difference. Even so, every three years, disciples from all these worlds come, and today, they are arriving.
Elves, Beastkins, Demons, Dragons, Dwarves, Elementals, and many more alien races began to make their appearance.
Soon, the space was filled with thousands of high-spirited young prodigies, each with dreams of walking through the giant, magnificent gate of the sect that floats in the clouds.
Before the sect was established, it was a city known as the Floating City. Now, it has become a sect that every last genius looking at the magnificent gate wants to stay.
“The first thing I will do when I pass the entrance exams is ride the cloud horses. My sister said it is one of the many early experiences we can have,” a spirited young lizardkin said, wagging her tail as she looked at the sect gate.
“Me too. Though I have ridden a cloud horse before, they said the ones here are magical and the view is breathtaking, especially when the sun is setting.”
“Look at you all dreaming of what you will do when you haven’t passed the entrance exams, yet,” a dark elf youngster said, smirking at the two overly spirited individuals.
“Take your tainted energy away, you dark blood worm.” The lizardkin young lady shot an annoyed look at the dark elf. Her tone was surprisingly sharp. Probably for her own good.
Naturally, her remark wasn’t received well, so the dark elf exuded his aura, ready to exchange blows; however, before anything could happen, three carriages tore through the void and arrived almost simultaneously despite coming from different worlds.
This drew everyone’s attention.
Murmurs began spreading, which soon turned into hushed remarks until the first carriage door opened and a young man stepped out clad in red leather armor, his body surrounded by an overwhelming blood aura.
Naturally, the disciples around the area where his carriage landed distanced themselves, feeling the deadly aura coming from him.
Many immediately recognized him.
“That is Kael Vrynn, the youngest prince of Netherkar and the junior brother of the One-Eyed Demon Spawn.”
“Damn, he is, as the rumors say, very terrifying just by looking at him.”
“Indeed. I heard he even has more potential than his big brother and was even rumored to have awakened an ancient bloodline linked to the Blood Barbarians.”
“Holy smokes. I can’t believe I will be joining the sect in the same batch as the Bloodfire Tyrant. This is already enough for me.”
“Me too. I will be sure to tell my grandkids about today.”
However, as words started echoing all around about the arrival of a once-in-a-thousand-years genius, the second carriage door opened, and a beauty stepped out, bringing her own form of overwhelming aura.
Lyra, the baby sister of the Ice Maiden, also stepped down from her carriage.
Although she is an ethereal beauty with silver skin, one who captured everyone’s attention like her sister, she has no iciness to her.
She looks nothing like her sister, who has a cold, icy air around her, signifying her affinity for Ice.
Instead, she carried the aura of the stars and constellations, one that made everyone feel as if she were looking into their fate, heart, and mind.
That aura made her look surreal in a way that shook everyone’s heart.
“Oh my god, even The Star Oracle has chosen this sect. I heard the Celestial Gate Sect sent the Bleeding Sword Emperor personally to recruit her. Who would have thought she rejected them and came here instead?”
“This can’t be, right? The master strategist has joined the Supreme Immortal Sect. This is huge.”
“That’s it. No matter what, even if it costs me my arms, I will join the sect.”
“I will follow you on that, brother. No matter what, we all have to join and cheer for this genius that only appears once every ten thousand years.”
Then came the third carriage. When it opened, everyone quieted down.
An ethereal beauty, one whose beauty is unmatched, even rivaling the likes of the Pill Princess, stepped out. However, instead of people admiring her, everyone merely stole glances at her.
One would expect such a beauty to be flocked by men on all sides; however, everyone had their backs turned at her.
Of course, everyone values their lives.
Among the five seeded candidates of the sect, the Venom King is regarded as the strongest and most dangerous.
However, while his legacy is unmatched and can’t be surpassed, his baby sister has also carved a path for herself, making her something akin to the most dangerous in the current generation.
The Widow Empress, the master manipulator, the Thread Assassin…
All know her and have been left with an impression, for she is the only one to have blatantly rejected the offer to join the Crimson Cult, the elite unit of terrifyingly powerful cultivators that even high worlds are wary of.
That alone made her someone many hated and feared at the same time, for at just 67 years old, she had already formed her core and refined it seven times.
According to rumors, she had already rebuilt her foundation in one of the most dangerous places in her world, the Devil’s Anus.
She is a monster in human form, and now she has come to join the Supreme Immortal Sect.
“What is she doing here?” someone asked in a hushed tone.
“What does it look like she is doing? Obviously, she is here to take the exams and join the sect like us all. And stop talking to me—she can hear us.”
“He’s telling the truth, I can hear you.” Suddenly, the Widow Empress appeared behind the two who had just spoken and placed her hand on their shoulders.
Their bodies stiffened, their breath caught in their chests, and their expressions turned pale. At that moment, death was all they could think about.
“So, what do you two think? Do I deserve to join the sect?” she asked with a teasing smile.
One thing about her is that she is extremely friendly, despite people not always being inclined to talk to her.
The two she placed her hands on couldn’t make a move. Suddenly, they felt threads entering their bodies.
At that moment, they knew they would never know peace again. When the Widow Empress latched her threads onto you, that was the end for you.
Luckily for them, just when she could do anything, the void cracked and a large ship appeared through the crack, bringing some form of heaviness upon everyone.
Kent and his pals finally arrived at the sect. He stood at the edge of the ship as it emerged through the cracks. Kent gazed at the majestic sect hiding in the clouds, and a smile appeared on his face.
“I am finally here…” he smiled, then gazed down. That was when his gaze landed on the thousands of people, each looking back at him and his pals.
“And there shall be Chaos.”
