Completing the hand signs, Neji clapped his hands together and declared, ‘Byakugan Chakra Mode!’

Instantly, Chakra flared out of Neji’s body, flowing from all his Tenketsu. It resembled the scene from earlier when he used Revolving Heaven, as the Chakra formed a protective barrier around him in the shape of a cocoon or egg. However, the barrier didn’t last long. Cracks quickly appeared, and it crumbled in an instant.

As the egg-shaped barrier vanished, the Chakra around him decreased in volume until it settled into a blue Chakra cloak over his shinobi gear fluttering with the wind.

Seeing the blue Chakra cloak surrounding Neji, Raijin shook his head in disappointment. “I was wondering what your trump card would be. I expected something impressive, but it turned out to be this Jutsu. Isn’t this the same one you used in the Forest of Death? Remember what happened there… do you really think it will make a difference now?”

“Unlike last time, this time my Jutsu is complete,” Neji replied simply as he took his stance.

‘Hm… that does seem to be the case. Unlike during the Forest of Death in the previous phase, he seems to have fully mastered the Byakugan Chakra Mode,’ Raijin thought, agreeing with Neji’s claim. He grinned and said, “Well then, let’s see what you can do.”

Without hesitation, Raijin clapped his hands and activated his own technique. ‘Lightning Chakra Mode!’ he declared as white lightning flickered and crackled around his body.

Unlike Neji’s Byakugan Chakra Mode, Raijin’s Lightning Chakra Mode was incomplete, as he had yet to fully master the Lightning Chakra Mode. However, that didn’t bother him. He was confident he could overwhelm Neji with his Pseudo Lightning Chakra Mode.

Even if he failed, it would only push him to his limits and help him master the Lightning Chakra Mode under pressure. With no fear holding him back, Raijin was ready to fight, test Neji’s strength, and, of course, defeat him.

With that in mind, Raijin vanished from his position, moving through the arena at lightning speed. His movements were so fast that even the most trained eyes struggled to follow him. In an instant, he reappeared above Neji, hands clasped together, ready to slam them down.

While most couldn’t track Raijin’s movements, Neji, though unable to follow Raijin’s physical form, used his Byakugan to detect the Chakra moving through the arena. He quickly noticed Raijin’s Chakra gathering above him. ‘Above!’ Neji thought, reacting instantly.

At a speed no one expected, Neji disappeared from his spot, leaving Raijin behind as the Amegakure ninja’s fists slammed into the arena, missing their target completely.

Bang!

The force of Raijin’s fist was so powerful that it created a pothole in the arena upon impact, sending up a cloud of dust.

Raijin ignored the damage and the rising dust cloud, his focus solely on Neji. He turned to where Neji had reappeared, still holding his stance. Without hesitation, he launched another attack, grinning as he said, “Let’s try that again…!”

Neji wasn’t afraid. He watched Raijin closely, waiting for the attack. At the last moment, he dodged again, leaving Raijin to strike the ground, creating another pothole and kicking up a cloud of dust.

“Dodged again, huh?” Raijin muttered, not bothered by Neji avoiding two attacks in a row. He continued his relentless assault.

To everyone’s surprise, Neji managed to dodge all of Raijin’s attacks, leaving Raijin to only damage the arena while tiring himself out.

This amazed the audience. It felt as though the tables had turned—now, instead of Raijin playing with Neji, it was Neji’s turn to toy with Raijin.

“Otou-sama, what jutsu is Neji-nii-san using?” Hanabi asked, turning to Hiashi.

“I… I don’t know,” Hiashi mumbled, almost standing up in shock. He had never seen such a jutsu before and wasn’t sure if it was even possible for a Hyuga to use something like it.

Unsure of what jutsu Neji was using, Hiashi once again asked Hizashi, “This jutsu…”

But Hizashi’s response was the same. Shaking his head, he said, “I don’t really know… It’s probably something Kuroto-kun taught Neji.”

“I see…” muttered Hiashi, unsure of how to feel about this.

Watching Neji move at incredible speed and effortlessly dodge Raijin’s attacks left him shocked. If seeing Neji use a technique that could neutralize other ninjutsu was surprising, then witnessing this new jutsu was truly eye-opening. Hiashi was reminded of something Kuroto had always said: ‘Why limit ourselves to just the Gentle Fist? Even if we want to stick with it, why not explore, learn, and develop new techniques and ways to use the Gentle Fist?’

‘I guess, you really did develop new techniques and new ways of using Gentle Fist, Kuroto-kun?’ Hiashi thought to himself with a bitter smile.

He was already hesitant to ask Kuroto about the technique that could render ninjutsu ineffective. Now, if he had to ask about this new technique as well, it would only make him feel more embarrassed.

But Hiashi knew he had no choice but to ask Kuroto for the technique. As the Patriarch, it was his responsibility to strengthen the Clan, especially with their distant relatives targeting the main family.

‘This technique could help us protect ourselves from those people on the moon,’ Hiashi thought.

However, he wasn’t sure how to ask Kuroto for it.

Feeling troubled, Hiashi sighed. ‘Why do I have to be the Patriarch?’

“That’s it! This is what I was talking about! Now, beat him to a pulp, Neji!” Naruto shouted excitedly, cheering loudly for his friend.

The others around him, unaware that Neji could use such a technique, were taken by surprise.

“What kind of Jutsu is that?” someone murmured in astonishment.

It wasn’t just Naruto’s peers who were curious; even their Jōnin instructors, including Kurenai, Asuma, and Shizune, were curious and couldn’t help but ask Guy, “What’s this Jutsu Hyuga Neji is using? Did you teach it to him? Is it something like the Eight Inner Gates?”

Guy shook his head. “No, it’s not Eight Inner Gates and I didn’t teach Neji this Jutsu. Kuroto is the one who taught him.” He paused thoughtfully before adding, “But it’s strange—I’ve never seen Kuroto use this Jutsu himself. I wonder why he doesn’t use it himself. Its power is indeed very high.”

“Hm? Kuroto-kun taught it to Hyuga Neji but doesn’t use it himself? Is it a Hyuga Clan’s Jutsu?” Shizune muttered curiously.

Guy shrugged. “I don’t know much about it—but I guess it can’t be anything else but some secret technique of the Hyuga Clan, and the way it works, only the Hyuga Clansmen can use it.”

Kakashi chimed in, “It’s definitely a powerful technique, but I’m not sure it’s enough for Hyuga Neji to defeat Raijin.”

“What do you mean by that, Kakashi?” Asuma asked, raising an eyebrow.

“I saw him use it during the second phase against Raijin,” Kakashi explained, “but it didn’t give him much of an advantage.” He added, “Granted, the Jutsu was incomplete back then, and he seems to have perfected it now… so that might make a difference. But…” Kakashi paused, his thoughts turning inward. ‘There’s still a problem with this Jutsu!’

Smirking, Raijin commented, “You’ve gotten really fast…”

Neji didn’t respond to Raijin’s comment, but the slight curve of his lips hinted at growing confidence.

“Getting cocky, huh?” Raijin muttered, noticing the faint smile.

Once again, Neji stayed silent, his confidence evident in his demeanor. He believed he could win this fight and thought to himself, ‘All I have to do is dodg–’

Before he could finish the thought, Raijin vanished again. In a white flash of lightning, he reappeared in front of Neji, moving even faster than before. Without hesitation, he launched a powerful roundhouse kick aimed at Neji’s neck. As he attacked, he offered a sharp piece of advice, as if teaching him a lesson: “You shouldn’t let yourself get lost in thought during a fight—especially against someone stronger than you!”

‘Fast!’ Neji’s brain buzzed in panic as he saw the kick close to his face in slow motion. Instinctively, he wanted to defend himself and raised his hand to block Raijin’s kick.
