With the strength of their hands alone, Aquarina and her friends began shattering and breaking open the large legs of the Giant Fire Ants they had just grilled. The metal was really hot, but the skin of their hands was also incredibly tough, resistant to burns, they easily grabbed this almost boiling metal and broke it open, the cracks had already softened the metal a lot already anyway, so it wasn’t hard at all.

Silvia’s eyes widened as she saw the fatty white meat come out of the opened leg, it smelled smoky and like seafood altogether into a delicious scent, she quickly took a bite without any dipping sauce, and a strong sweet and savory taste filled her mouth, with spicy hints of smokiness mixed in.

It was delicious, she filled her mouth with the fatty meat and didn’t stop eating until she finished half the leg on her own without even dipping it, eating it was addicting due to the sweetness and the slight smoky spiciness of the meat mixed together.

“Is it my idea or is this meat even tastier than the other legs you gave us, Aquarina?”

Aquarina was in the middle of giving it a bite, and then as she munched on the meat and swallowed, she nodded.

“Oooh! Yeah, it’s really great! It’s much tastier, and the bitterness isn’t even there anymore? Is this a higher quality meat? Maybe because these are from the Guards?”

As she wondered that, Justicio and Agua also gave it a taste. Justicio ate a huge chunk of meat after tearing the exoskeleton with his mouth, the flavor was delicious.

Meanwhile, Agua ate much more sophisticated, taking little chunks with a wooden fork, blowing some air into the meat before taking a bite, and then a few more.

“Hmmm!”

“It’s good, yes!”

The sweetness of the meat, the slight savory taste, then the spiciness and the smokiness, it all mixed beautifully with the tender meat that literally melted in their mouth.

“I noticed that as well, there isn’t any bitter aftertaste!” Justicio nodded.

“Although it’s packed with flavor, the flavor itself is also quite subtle, enough to make it so the meat absorbs all the flavor of the dipping sauces…” Agua licked her lips, dipping her leg over spicy sauce. “Hmm! Sho guud!”

“You want more already Leviathan? Geez, alright…” Aquarina quickly gave him another two legs, as the dragon spirit continued happily eating it.

As they ate and felt joyful and delighted at this little moment of respite and small pleasures, Aquarina checked her System Notifications.

Aquarina felt slightly disappointed, but still, three levels and one new skill wasn’t anything bad or to complain about, especially when the Skill was just what she wanted.

“This new Skill is still just what I wanted! With this it’ll become easier to master and improve my Domain…”

Skills were like magic spells or techniques that could be easily used with just a thought, without the requirement to gather energy and mana into certain parts of the body or anything of the sort.

They were fully automatic abilities, and this made them easier to use, and even allowed other similar abilities to be mastered as it allowed the person to get used to the flow of mana, which was done automatically through the body.

Aquarina’s Domain was very much imperfect and still in development, but it was strong enough that even the System recognized it and registered it as a skill, which was great news.

“If I remember correctly, Sylphy also had something like this, right?” Aquarina wondered. “A Divine Domain of sorts… I think?”

Aquarina could remember that Sylphy could unleash a powerful Divine Domain around her made of Divine Thunder that encompassed her surroundings, it seemed to be a Skill she had obtained somehow.

“With this, I am one step closer to catching up with her! But I wonder how strong she has become since we went our separate ways… She was mostly going to learn Alchemy though; would that make her stronger?” Aquarina wondered, raising an eyebrow. “Well, we’ll see about that later anyway! It’s not like I care that much, I’ll be happy with just seeing her once we met!”

As Aquarina daydreamed about meeting Sylphy again, hugging her and kissing her, she heard Agua walking towards her.

“Aquarina! Everyone! The stew is ready! Let’s eat this before we depart again, alright?”

She quickly brought the whole pot to the table, it was a huge, boiling hot stew that smelled heavenly!

Everyone had already eaten several legs themselves, but they still had some space for stew.

Especially when the meat they used for this one was of the giant, meaty scythes of the ant queen!

The flavor was guaranteed to be divine, even more so when Agua opened the lid, as a golden and red aura surged from the food.
