The next day.
“So, these are the aliens…” Alavenya cracked her fingers. “I’m getting excited.”
“It’s not your turn yet. There are still those three who will open the battle. This is our chance to kill some of them after all.” Flora shook her head helplessly.
Noelle looked at Nathan, Selena, and Sera, who stood at the edge of the cliff. Any closer would make the aliens realize their presence. In addition, the moment they used their ena, the fluctuation would alert all the high-level aliens. Hence, they should make it count.
“Are you ready?” Nathan asked.
“Yes. I will take that one. You don’t mind, right, Selena?” Sera pointed at an alien. This alien looked humanoid. It was five meters (16 feet) tall and had a pair of wings, even though one of them was already half-destroyed. Its feet looked like a talon, while its arms contained several tentacles that looked like a sharp whip.
This was the warrior class alien Sera chose.
Selena nodded. Since she chose that alien, Selena was left with a plant-like alien. This alien had tentacles acting as its roots and its body was similar to that of a bonsai tree with several tentacles as its branches. On the very top, it had an elongated head with seven eyes circling around the tip.
“I will blast them and split these aliens into two groups.” Nathan smiled. “Ready?”
“Asmodeus.” Sera’s expression turned solemn.
“Understood. I will be serious today.” Asmodeus smiled. “I wonder if Master Nathan would like to reward our little valkyrie for her effort.”
“…” Nathan glanced at Asmodeus as though he didn’t want to joke at this time.
“Well, I’m just wondering about that. To take down a warrior class alien, I’m afraid she will need to utilize the desire magic to the fullest.”
“…” Brunhild panicked.
Nathan chuckled. “If you can clean up this place fast and we can reach our destination before dark, I will do it.”
“…was what he said.” Asmodeus smirked, teasing Brunhild with a playful wink.
Brunhild looked away, but inwardly, she swore she would kill this alien in minutes.
“You’re not going to fight for affection, Risa?” Selena glanced at the vampire beside her.
Risa gently scratched her cheek, not knowing how to respond.
“That’s good then. There’s something I want to try anyway.” Selena nodded. “Yin Zhen, Sasha, Amphitrite. Take care of the surroundings. Risa, restrain the opponent’s movement.”
“Got it.” The four familiars acknowledged her order.
“In that case, let’s begin!” Nathan raised both hands. “Ignition, double. It’s time for Artillery.”
He spread the bullets into 64 while glancing left and right.
Asmodeus tapped the ground with his scepter. “I desire… destruction! Alkhasac.”
Selena gathered her ena on top of her head and pushed it down. “Fallen Heaven.”
All three of them released their power at the same time.
“!!!” The aliens noticed the ena fluctuation and hurriedly informed the rest of the aliens around them.
All the aliens raised their heads and charged toward the cliff.
It was at that time they saw the three releasing their power.
Asmodeus formed a slime-like sphere and let it fall to the ground. Upon reaching the ground, the slime splashed, releasing spikes in all directions. The spikes suddenly curved in the same direction before bouncing on the ground. They repeated the motion until there was an alien impaled by them.
The proto-class alien couldn’t stop this attack. Their bodies were first impaled before this slime-like blade caused another burst that turned into multiple spikes inside the alien’s body, killing them.
A lot of aliens were taken down without any chance of fighting.
Meanwhile, Selena’s attack came in the form of pure energy. It felt like a platform or the sky itself was falling, flattening numerous aliens. It was simple but effective, especially to provoke the warrior class alien.
Last but not least, Nathan shot his Artillery in a straight line and caused a series of explosions that blasted everything in its path, creating a small wall that separated the two warrior class aliens along with their group.
The humanoid alien leaped toward the incoming black blades and waved its hand, extending its claws by using the black cell and cutting down all the incoming blades to stop their slaughter.
Meanwhile, the plant-like alien sent forth a huge tentacle root from the ground and tried to strike the cliff. Yin Zhen and Sasha struck it first and knocked it back.
Now that the two warrior class aliens had focused on these two, Flora and the others finally rushed to them before jumping off the cliff.
“It’s time for us!” Alavenya grinned. “I will help Selena.”
“I will take care of the aliens on the left then.” Flora nodded. Both of them positioned themselves between the two warrior class aliens so that they would remain separated.
Then Nathan and Noelle swept their sides, making sure they positioned themselves on the two sides of the valley in case of the incoming reinforcement.
Last but not least, Selena and Sera finally jumped off the cliff.
“Make sure you don’t let any aliens near Selena. Yin Zhen, Sasha.” Risa grinned.
“Of course.”
“There’s no need for you to say it.”
“In that case, I will be rampaging as usual.” Amphitrite nodded and lifted her trident, calling forth the war from the ground.
On the other side, Raphael snapped his finger as Sera and Brunhild were enveloped in a faint golden light.
“I might not have any offensive power, but I’m powerful enough to protect you. Go wild. I’ll take care of your defense.”
“Where’s mine?” Asmodeus pointed at himself.
“I don’t protect a demon.” Raphael snorted. “Don’t make me even angrier after you’re making such a pure person filled with lust, Demon.”
“Heh.” Asmodeus chuckled. “Well, I don’t care, as long as my beloved mistress is fine.”
“It’s fine.” Sera waved her hand, using her Synchronization on Brunhild and Asmodeus. “Use my power as you like. I will support you guys from here.”
“I’ll be off, Mistress.” Brunhild nodded while pointing her spear at the aliens. “God of Valkyrja.”
