Chapter 3309: Let's Call
[Stop looking at me like that. It's creepy!] Sister Orb complained, floating further away from the twins.
"Not you, idiot, the system!" Roan corrected the orb. "Just come here; we need to buy
something."
[Oh... alright.]
Rean and Roan then touched the Control Orb, sending their Divine Senses inside. Soon, the upgrade list appeared in front of them, including one they had never used before.
[Celestial Clue: Provides a clue to any of the host's inquiries.]
[Price: Based on the task required.]
[Would you like to use the Celestial Clue?]
"Yes!" The twins immediately accepted.
[Please state your problem.]
"We need to find a way to acquire huge amounts of Starlight Energy other than just absorbing it naturally. Preferably, here in the Divine Snow World."
[Processing...]
The system then went silent for over a minute before it finally spoke again.
[Three options are available.]
[First: 1059 Celestial Points for the clue.]
[Second: 287 Celestial points for the clue.]
[Third: 19 Celestial Points for the clue.]
Nothing was said about each option, but the twins' group could guess that the higher the price, the more Starlight Energy it would provide or the easier it would be to get. Of course, it might also be related to danger. The cheaper, the more dangerous, and so on. They could only find out if they bought one of them.
Too bad that they truly didn't have many Celestial Points. After acquiring the Sky Soul Bloodline Cultivation Technique, they now only had 24 Celestial Points remaining.
"Well, let's get over with it," Roan said.
Without another choice, the twins simply selected the cheapest option.
[The Third Celestial Clue has been selected.]
[The Sky is clear where this spirit resides. The light of the stars bathes the land, and its special minerals are capable of cleaning all worldly impurities. Truly, that is a sight to behold, and yet, few have the chance to ever step on it. The third centurion shall reveal the path. There, the hosts shall find the solution for their problems in the short term.]
Kentucky narrowed his eyes. "It is a clue, I give it that. But could it be any more vague?"
Roan pondered about the issue. "We stated that we wanted it to be in the Divine Snow World, so it is unlikely the system was talking about a place outside. It also spoke of special minerals that seem to be able to absorb Starlight Energy and even clear the impurities. It mentioned that few had the chance to step on that land, which means it is a restricted zone of sorts. Perhaps a Dimensional Realm? Lastly, the third centurion... that is a little confusing. Maybe it is referring to the stars in the sky?"
Rean opened his CD, quickly connecting the the Snow World Network. Naturally, he was using another VS Device on it with a different Werdlem Stone Signature ID. "The Divine Snow World is closed to the outside, but it is pretty open regarding the information of its own lands. Let's see if I can find anything similar to the description. You two should do the same."
Roan and Kentucky nodded, both opening their CDs and helping Rean in the search. They wondered if the system was talking about a place near them or on the other side of the Divine Snow World. However, considering the size of the entire Divine Snow World, it would still be a ridiculously long journey if they had to go to the other side.
The system probably considered that, too, so the twins' group limited their search to the continent they were in and the surrounding continents at first.
Well, even if it is only the continents nearby, this is the Divine Realm, and each continent is the size of tens of thousands, perhaps hundreds, or even millions of planets. Nonetheless, they knew that what they were looking for was also quite rare, so it made sense to limit their search to this distance, at least.
Roan was the first one to find something. "There is a mountain range in the continent of Atzol, two continents away from here. It is a Demon Beast Territory, and no one is allowed inside. Seems like quite a few Elemental Space and Space-Time Realm Demon Beasts occupy that region."
Rean looked at the information but shook his head in the end. "It is truly a Demon Beast territory, and the Demon Beasts there are quite rare, with their materials being worth quite a bit. Sure, it is quite restricted, but anyone looking for quick profit often goes there. Besides, the system also mentioned something about a spirit that lived there."
Roan nodded, admitting Rean was right, before resuming his search. "Let's discard this one then."
"What about this one?" Kentucky was the next to find something.
This time, what he found was an ocean, and it did seem to have quite a few Water Related Spirits living there. It wasn't exactly a restricted zone. It's just that the area didn't have many resources to start with, so few ever went there, fitting the description somehow.
Yet, Rean once again discarded the idea. The system spoke of a special material that seemed to absorb Starlight Energy. If that material was at the bottom of the ocean, pretty much no Starlight Energy even got down there. It was unlikely that was the right place. Not to mention, there didn't seem to be anything related to a centurion or whatever nearby.
They kept finding one or another place, dimensional realms, and things like that. Yet, none seemed to fit the description given by the system entirely. It was then that Rean remembered something. "Is it even in the Divine Snow World for real?"
"It should be," Roan commented. "I doubt the system selected somewhere outside. I told you that already."
"No, that's not what I meant," Rean corrected himself. "What if the entrance to that place is indeed in the Divine Snow World, but it is a separate place."
Only then did Roan understand what Rean meant. "The Abyssal Paths?"
"Yes," Rean nodded. "Few stepped in that place, but it feels like the location could be a place for spirits to be born. Spirits of all kinds are born from different reasons and places, after all." Kentucky was still curious. "And how exactly will you find it?"
Rean opened his CD again, calling a certain someone. "I believe this third centurion is the key to it."
