He is trying to gain complete control over the five-tailed beasts now that all of them have become Paths of Pain.”

Hidan wasn’t surprised, and asked, “What do you think, will he be able to control the five-tailed beasts? After all, their power is quite something… it’s always a hassle to keep them in check so that they don’t go out of control.”

“With Nagato’s Rinnegan, there shouldn’t be any problem, he should be able to suppress the five-tailed beasts,” said Kakuzu, it’s just that he wasn’t so confident, after all, five-tailed beasts are a bit too much in his opinion. Kakuzu did not have the answer to Hidan’s question. A part of him prays that Nagato manages to defeat Yama so that the Akatsuki Organization can finally step out from the shadows of Amatsukami, but another part of him hopes that Nagato fails… the reason for wanting Nagato to fail is that Kakuzu has started to develop extreme fear of the path Nagato has been walking on… it might lead to the destruction of entire Shinobi World. Kakuzu personally doesn’t care about the Shinobi World, however, the destruction of the Shinobi World would mean that he would no longer have the opportunity to earn money, and that is something Kakuzu can’t accept.

Unlike Tendō Pain, the remaining five paths are not corpses.

Upon a closer look at their faces, it can be noticed that they still have ruddy complexions, and their chests are still rising and falling as they breathe, clearly signifying that they are still alive, it’s just that they are no longer capable of forming their own thoughts and have become living breathing puppets.

In a sense, these five individuals have already experienced pseudo-deaths, despite being alive, they are not alive.
