Reborn into Naruto World with Tenseigan

Chapter 1105: The Mangekyō Sharingan!

“You? A pathetic boy like you wants revenge too?”

‘Does he… does he already know everything?’ Sasuke’s mind nearly exploded upon hearing Raijin’s disdainful whisper in his ear.

From Raijin’s words, Sasuke realized one terrifying truth—the man was fully aware that Sasuke had uncovered his identity as a member of the Amatsukami Organization.

‘That means Shisui-nii-san was right… he really is a member of Amatsukami!’

His thoughts raced, but then something else hit him with horror making him all the more certain: ‘Tou-san’s eyes are definitely in his eye sockets…’ The shock was quickly replaced by burning rage. The Sharingan in his eyes, once a blood-red shade, became even more intense as the three tomoe started spinning faster and faster.

Noticing the change, Raijin, who had his foot pressed on Sasuke’s head, smiled under his mask, ‘Come on Uchiha Sasuke, don’t keep me waiting.’

Sasuke’s display of ‘Purple Lightning’ earlier had been surprising, to say the least.

Raijin knew that even Sasuke, who had attained the Rinnegan during the Fourth Great Shinobi War hadn’t bothered mastering the Single Chakra Nature Transformation of Lightning Chakra. Of course, it wasn’t that Sasuke couldn’t master it; it just hadn’t seemed useful to him at that stage. With Sasuke’s development of Inferno Style, his skill in nature transformation was undeniable. Given time, knowledge, and proper guidance, Sasuke could master almost any Jutsu, so it was no surprise that he mastered the Single Chakra Nature Transformation of Lightning and learned the Purple Lightning.

‘It looks like this is Kakashi’s influence… I suppose I should be grateful,’ Raijin mused, glancing briefly toward Kakashi.

Just then, Raijin sensed something shift under his feet. Sasuke’s chakra grew colder, and his Sharingan seemed on the verge of evolution. Hatred, shame, and other negative emotions swirled within Sasuke, reacting with his Yin Chakra, building up like a volcano about to erupt.

Konohagakure Waiting Room

“How… how could this happen?” Naruto exclaimed in surprise.

The situation had completely turned around. Sasuke, who clearly had the upper hand moments ago, was now on the ground, his head being stepped on by his opponent, Raijin. The sudden shift left Sasuke humiliated in front of the entire crowd.

Beside Naruto, Mika was staring at the battlefield, too nervous to speak.

It wasn’t just the fellow Genin who were shocked; even the Jōnin instructors watching from the waiting room were surprised by the unexpected reversal.

Shizune voiced her confusion, “How could Raijin shrug off Sasuke’s attack like that?”

Kurenai nodded in agreement. “Yes, even we Jōnin can’t completely ignore that attack and would have to take it seriously lest we end up getting severely injured.”

Guy, however, was focused on something else. “I don’t know why, but Raijin’s physical skills seem familiar to me.”

Asuma on the other hand mumbled in surprise, “Raijin’s physical technique is the cleanest I’ve ever seen. There’s no wasted movement in his attacks—they’re fast and powerful. I’m not sure I could even hold my own against him!”

On the battlefield, seeing Sasuke in danger made Kakashi tense. He stood up, ready to act if needed but something held him back. His eyes moved toward Itachi, who was sitting on the referee’s bench, then scanned the audience searching for other members of Sasuke’s family. It didn’t take long to spot them.

What Kakashi noticed unsettled him. Although Uchiha Izumi looked extremely worried, and Sasuke’s mother appeared nervous as well, his father on the other hand, similar to his elder brother was silent, showing no reaction at all.

He glanced at Kiyomi in the waiting room and noticed she looked concerned, but there was something in her expression he couldn’t quite read.

And there is one thing in particular that he noticed in all the members of Sasuke’s family.

From the end of the second phase of the Joint Chūnin Promotion Exam, Kakashi had sensed that Sasuke’s family’s attitude toward him had grown colder as if they were deeply disappointed in him.

Now, Sasuke was clearly in danger—his life was on the line—but neither his brother Itachi nor his father showed any sign of concern. Instead, there was a chilling coldness on their faces.

‘Wait… it’s not just coldness… they… they seem to be waiting for something… but what? What are they expecting?!’ The question gnawed at Kakashi’s mind.

Somewhere else in the Colosseum

Orochimaru, having used a transformation Jutsu to disguise himself as an ordinary man, subconsciously stuck out his tongue as a strange light appeared in his snake-like vertically slitted eyes.

At that moment, Kabuto, who was sharing his body with Orochimaru, spoke up. “Orochimaru-sama, I can sense Uchiha Sasuke’s chakra changing!”

Orochimaru smiled. “I know… I can feel it too.”

Since he now inhabits Yakushi Kabuto’s body, Orochimaru also possesses Kabuto’s heightened perception, allowing him to clearly sense the changes happening in Sasuke’s chakra, and he clearly noticed that Uchiha Sasuke’s chakra is becoming colder and colder.

Due to the loss of his eyes, Uchiha Fugaku could no longer rely on his visual perception to receive real-time feedback from the arena. He had to rely on his other senses while frequently asking Mikoto, who was beside him, to explain what was happening.

Mikoto gently patted Fugaku’s clenched fist and reassured him, “Believe in Sasuke. He’s just as talented as his brother.”

Fugaku nodded firmly. “Of course. He is my son!”

Nearby, Izumi clenched her fists, murmuring to herself, “Come on, Sasuke-kun… you can do it! Show that Raijin who’s boss!”

At the arena

Raijin, who had been closely observing Sasuke, noticed that the three tomoe in Sasuke’s eyes were gradually merging together. At first glance, it appeared as a blurred, dark black spot within the scarlet wheel of his Sharingan.

“I’m going to kill you… I’m going to kill you…” Sasuke, who was being trampled on the ground, looked increasingly ferocious, muttering those words repeatedly.

However, as the seconds passed, despite Sasuke’s intensifying rage, the transformation Raijin anticipated had yet to occur.

‘Not enough, huh? Looks like I need to increase the pressure a bit more,’ Raijin thought.

He had already confirmed that Sasuke’s Visual Prowess was sufficient, but it seemed he lacked the final emotional trigger. With a darkening expression, Raijin pressed his foot harder against Sasuke’s head and sarcastically taunted, “Hey, didn’t you just say you were going to break my mask and step on my head? So why is it you’re the one lying in the dirt now? Some ‘genius’ you are—just a piece of trash who talks big!”

Furious, Sasuke screamed, “Ahhhh! I’m going to kill you!”

Raijin grabbed Sasuke by the neck, yanked him up, and delivered a brutal punch to his stomach, knocking the fight out of him. Then, Raijin cast a Genjutsu on Sasuke, showing him visions of his clan’s massacre, including the night Homusubi had supposedly ripped Fugaku’s eyes from his eye sockets, leaving him helpless and bleeding.

Continuing his mockery, Raijin taunted, “That’s how your useless father, Uchiha Fugaku lost his eyes… Do you see it, Uchiha Sasuke? He couldn’t even protect his own eyes, and now they’re part of my collection. But don’t worry, I won’t bother taking your Sharingan—I’m not interested in garbage. Your brother, Itachi, on the other hand… now his eyes… that would be a prize worth having.” As Raijin mentioned Itachi, a vision of Itachi losing his eyes flashed in Sasuke’s mind under Raijin’s subtle Genjutsu.

“And Uchiha Kiyomi too… her eyes are quite beautiful. Maybe I should take them, just for the sake of the collection,” Raijin added with a cruel smile. The Genjutsu continued to torment Sasuke, showing him visions of Kiyomi being brutally tortured and maimed and losing her eyes, followed by the same fate befalling his sister-in-law Uchiha Izumi, then his mother Mikoto, and finally Shisui, Shinichi, and other Uchiha clansmen.

Raijin’s cruelty seemed limitless as he pushed Sasuke deeper into despair. ‘Stop it… stop it… stop it!’ Sasuke’s mind screamed.

“Stop it?” Raijin chuckled, deactivating the Genjutsu. He twisted Sasuke’s head and pointed it toward the stands where Fugaku, Mikoto, and Izumi sat. Raijin continued in a mocking voice, “Look at your father and mother… see how your blind, good-for-nothing father has such unrealistic expectations of you? What a poor man—placing his hopes on a waste like you!”

Sasuke squinted, straining to look at his parents and sister-in-law in the stands. The look of expectation on their faces was painfully glaring to him, filling him with shame. He wanted to avert his eyes, to escape the burden of his parents’ hopes. But Raijin held his head tightly and once again plunged him into a Genjutsu.

This time, the nightmare started from Sasuke’s childhood. He remembered stumbling upon Yama and Homusubi attacking Uchiha Ryota and feeling so helpless. The scene shifted, showing the members of Amatsukami hunting down his clansmen like animals, raising them like cattle before plucking out their eyes as they have been doing for the past decade.

‘Damn it!’ Sasuke screamed internally, helpless as the nightmarish visions flashed before him under Raijin’s Genjutsu.

Slowly, Sasuke began to give in to despair and lose hope, ‘Hic… he is… he is too…”

Suddenly, just when he thought he could no longer resist, a voice pierced through the Genjutsu and reached his ears: “Sasuke, don’t give in, you bastard!”

‘Naruto?’ Sasuke recognized the voice.

“Sasuke-kun… you can do it!” He heard Mika’s voice next.

“Are you going to lose before even fighting me in the Chūnin exams?” Neji’s voice followed.

More voices began to flood in, the voices of people important to him. Among them was a quiet murmur: “Come on, Sasuke… don’t just stay there… I know you can do it…”

‘Nii-san!’ Sasuke realized.

In that moment, the blurred tomoe in Sasuke’s Sharingan sharpened and transformed, taking the shape of a complex six-pointed star—the Mangekyō Sharingan.
