Reborn into Naruto World with Tenseigan
Chapter 1109: Uchiha Sasuke’s Second Dōjutsu?“Hahaha… have you forgotten, boy? You’re not the only one with those eyes…” Raijin’s words echoed in Sasuke’s ears as the Chidori in his hand struck Sasuke’s Susano’o.
Boom! Crack… Crack!
Immediately, a burst of cracking sounds filled the air. Despite the loud impact and the piercing shriek of the Chidori, the sound of Susano’o cracking was unmistakably clear and harsh.
“You…!?” Sasuke was taken aback by Raijin’s words, realizing their implication. If Raijin also had those eyes, then it meant he had copied Chidori using the Sharingan. Before Sasuke could fully process this, his expression shifted—shock, fury, and horror blended together. He was enraged that Raijin was using his father’s eyes, and horrified that Raijin’s Chidori had actually pierced through his Susano’o.
Unlike Sasuke, who was overwhelmed with emotion, Raijin simply smiled as his White Chidori penetrated the Susano’o.
Chidori, already a technique designed for powerful thrusts, had been amplified by Raijin’s White Lightning, making his version several times stronger. It pierced through the second stage of Sasuke’s Susano’o with relative ease. Additionally, Raijin’s words had distracted Sasuke in the final moments, preventing him from mounting an adequate defense. As a result, the Susano’o was pierced by a single Chidori strike.
The thrust didn’t stop there. Accompanied by more cracking sound, the attack drove deeper and deeper into the Susano’o armor, nearly shattering it entirely.
As Sasuke’s Susano’o began to break apart, he quickly regained his composure, controlling the fragmented Susano’o to contract layer by layer in a desperate attempt to resist Raijin’s attack and stop it from reaching his body.
The white Chidori reflected in Sasuke’s Mangekyō Sharingan eyes grew closer with each passing instant, while the familiar chirping sound echoed in his ears like a death knell.
‘How can I still lose after awakening the Mangekyō Sharingan?!’ Anger and frustration surged through Sasuke’s heart, but it was too late to react. Raijin’s attack was as swift as lightning, and Sasuke had already missed his chance to dodge. His overconfidence in Susano’o’s defense and the momentary distraction caused by Raijin’s words left him vulnerable.‘Damn it… damn it… do something…!’ Sasuke screamed inwardly, his frustration boiling over. ‘Susano’o is supposed to have the strongest defense… why is it breaking under a mere Chidori?! I refuse… I refuse… I refuse to accept this!’
The anger in his heart swelled as he watched Raijin’s attack shatter his Susano’o piece by piece. His fury blinded him to the fact that, at some point, blood had started to drip from his right eye.
Just as Raijin’s Chidori was about to pierce through Sasuke’s face, something unexpected happened.
“Hm?” Raijin’s expression froze.
It wasn’t because he had intentionally held back, but rather because Sasuke’s instinctive defense—shrinking Susano’o layer by layer—actually took effect. The shrinking layers of Susano’o gradually absorbed the force of Raijin’s attack. Just when it seemed Raijin would succeed, his attack was stopped, held back by Sasuke’s desperate defense.
Now, Raijin’s right hand, still crackling with intense White Lightning, hovered mere centimeters away from the tip of Sasuke’s nose.
“Tch!” Clicking his tongue, Raijin immediately zapped back decisively and stared at Sasuke with a frown. To Raijin’s visible surprise, Sasuke’s Susano’o began to regenerate, shrinking and becoming denser at the point where Raijin had attacked. This unexpected detail left him confused. ‘What’s going on?’
Raijin had a deep understanding of Susano’o, having used it multiple times through the Tsukihi Clone. He was certain that this wasn’t how Susano’o typically worked. The damage done to it wasn’t something that could be repaired. Susano’o didn’t regenerate. The only way to deal with such damage was to either advance to the next developmental stage or completely disperse and reform it. But what was happening to Sasuke’s Susano’o was entirely different. The young Uchiha’s Susano’o hadn’t evolved to the next stage, nor had it been dispersed and reformed, yet it had somehow changed—an alteration that deviated from the usual development of Susano’o.
‘Could this be the result of Sasuke’s other Dōjutsu?’ Raijin pondered.
Mangekyō Sharingan users typically possess abilities in both eyes. These abilities can be identical, similar, or completely distinct, but one thing is certain: each eye gains a unique Jutsu, so Sasuke ought to have an ability in each eye too. Since he had already used Amaterasu earlier, one of his Dōjutsu was clearly the black flames. However, Sasuke hadn’t shown any sign of controlling those flames yet; instead, he had been recklessly launching them everywhere so it was a little difficult to tell whether the Dōjutsu of his other eye was simply Kagatsuchi that he had yet to use or something else. This strange regeneration of his Susano’o, something Raijin had only ever encountered once before, might be tied to Sasuke’s second Dōjutsu.
The only other person capable of restoring their Susano’o is Shinichi. However, Shinichi’s Susano’o restoration works by rewinding time to a fixed point. In contrast, Sasuke’s restoration seemed more natural, as if it was genuinely being regenerated rather than reverting to a previous state. Moreover, Sasuke’s Susano’o hadn’t just regenerated, it had also added several layers of defense around the area Raijin’s Chidori had struck, making it difficult for Raijin to proceed further.
‘It’s definitely different from Shinichi’s Dōjutsu…’ Raijin mused, nodding to himself. ‘Yes, this ability must be tied to Sasuke’s Dōjutsu. Otherwise, this kind of restoration wouldn’t make sense. The question is… what exactly is his Dōjutsu… and what exactly can it do except regenerate the Susano’o and add layers to that particular part…’
While Raijin pondered Sasuke’s second Dōjutsu, Sasuke, having just snapped out of his brief daze, still didn’t fully understand what had just happened to his Susano’o or how it had suddenly restored itself with additional layers of defense. Overcome with rage, he screamed hysterically, “I’m going to tear you apart!”
He had expected that after awakening the Mangekyō Sharingan, he would easily defeat Raijin and reclaim his father’s eyes. However, the reality was far from that—he had nearly been killed instead.
The pride that once filled his heart was now consumed by overwhelming shame. The thought of almost losing to Raijin, and in front of not only his parents and siblings but the entire world, pushed him to the brink of madness. The humiliation was unbearable.
“Damn it… just die!” At this point he didn’t even know what he was doing with his Susano’o and made it attack Raijin however he could as long as it could kill Raijin and in response to his desire of wanting to kill Raijin, Susano’o seemed to have come alive as its hollow eyes glower violet and it let out a soul-stirring roar and its shape change from the skeletal figure with no lower body to possessing several pointy bony pointy legs that attacked Raijin.
“Huh? This form is definitely different from the usual development pattern of Susano’o,” Raijin muttered to himself while skillfully dodging attacks from the altered Susano’o. As he analyzed the situation, he thought, ‘Does that mean Sasuke’s other Dōjutsu allows him to manipulate the form of his Susano’o at will? If so, this ability…’
Of course, it was just speculation at this point, and Raijin couldn’t be certain yet.

Konohagakure Waiting Room
Seeing that Sasuke’s emotions were completely out of control, Kakashi’s expression turned serious. He disappeared in a flash of silver and arrived in the management area. After a brief search, he quickly spotted Itachi, who was silently observing the fight between Sasuke and Raijin.
Hurrying to his side, Kakashi called out, “Itachi…”
“Hm? Kakashi-san? What are you doing here?” Itachi asked, looking surprised to see him.
“Itachi, we need to stop this match,” Kakashi said, his gaze filled with concern as he looked at the arena.
“What do you mean? Why should we stop the fight halfway?” Itachi replied, confused.
Kakashi glanced at the purple Susano’o racing around the field and anxiously explained, “I don’t know if you are aware of this or not, but the Mangekyō Sharingan has a significant drawback… Its use can lead to blindness. If Sasuke, who has just awakened his Mangekyō Sharingan, uses it recklessly without considering the consequences for his eyesight, he could go blind. Right now, he seems completely lost in his emotions, and we can’t allow him to act so recklessly over a mere Chūnin Promotion exam. This could have a lasting impact on his strength… if he were to become blind…”
Having once possessed a Mangekyō Sharingan and having consulted a wealth of confidential information about it in the village, Kakashi knew all too well that the power of the Mangekyō Sharingan was not unlimited.
Feeling Kakashi’s anxiety, Itachi nodded slightly. “I see…” But he didn’t make a move and continued to watch the fight.
Kakashi was taken aback by Itachi’s lack of action. “If you understand, then why are you still standing here? Go and stop the fight!”
Itachi smiled lightly shaking his head and replied, “There’s no need for concern, Kakashi-san. While it’s true that using the Mangekyō Sharingan can lead to blindness, there are ways to mitigate this issue…”
“Huh? What do you mean?” Kakashi asked his expression one of shock. He was completely unaware of this!
“Does this surprise you, Kakashi-san? It seems you didn’t know… Just look at Shisui-san and Shinichi; they’ve been using their Mangekyō Sharingan for years, and neither of them has gone blind,” Itachi pointed out, reminding Kakashi of Shisui and Shinichi.
“Now that you mention it…” Kakashi mumbled, recalling that both Shisui and Shinichi had indeed used their Mangekyō Sharingan for years without showing any signs of blindness.
“Since the technique is a clan secret, I can’t disclose the exact details. But… there’s no need for concern. Sasuke won’t go blind,” Itachi assured Kakashi.
“I see…” Kakashi nodded, feeling relieved, and refocused his attention back on the arena.
